Did you know that Sergio Leone said that the mystery of the ending is that the whole movie may have been Robert De Niro's character having an opium induced dream and that he dreamt everything that happened after he went to jail. No one knows the truth of the ending.
In a way this film is better than the godfather, theres no doubt Godfather is a masterpiece, but sometimes I think of it and think, mehhh, but I never with this one :)
@cashshawn The TRC is the Truth and Reconciliation Commission led by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and based in Kapstad. In April 1996 the ANC bombed McGoos Bar in Durban KZN and fled to Botswana and Swaziland afterwards. We jumped the fence into Swaziland and caught some of them at Mhlambanyatsi and put paid to them. @TonyGonzo1988 Yes, fairly comparable, (they bombed McGoos bar in 1986 not 1996 as I said in an earlier comment) The TRC policy is that if you confess all of your "sins" to them, they will grant you amnesty.It never works that way if you are a M'lungu (white), although it did to the coloured Robert McBride who escaped us by going to the Gaborone in Botswana with his then girlfiend Greta Appelgren. He ended up being the Police commissioner of Kwa-Zulu Natal. My girlfriend arrives Darwin soon.
That's the most touchin' example that makes Italian people proud of their culture. Thanks Sergio and thanks Ennio =)
