most of these 60's in this video probably arrived at toton traction depot yesterday. i went earlier 60001 is rotting in a siding 60100 is in service luckily and about 10-20 60's were coupled up including the green one and chorus 60006. In the window of everyone of them it said this loco is no longer inservice, awaiting scrappage. =[
A very sad thought that such locos should face being withdrawn or stored, and the current economical situation doesn't help either. We can only hope that DB Schenker will have a change of mind and reinstate at least a few of them, when (and if) things begin to improve...
I remember when I first saw these rugged locomotives hearing the power of those pistons pounding hard, and all the clag shooting out of its exhuasts. I rememeber running home to recreate that scene of pounding and shooting in my bedroom, after grabbing my copy of railway modeller featuring the newly released Lima model. This really was the Class sexty. Co-Co bogies really do get me hard.
Glad you were interested. Have to say EWS isn't my favourite livery, Loadhaul did it for me, that always made me moist. You could always find me in the bushes at Margam, watching these beasts pass by.
Class 60s are certaily my favourite freight loco. I saw 60011 on a heavy oil tankers at Leicester on Saturday! Still in Mainline Blue! Brilliant!! I believe you are from St Helens, that is where I orginate from!
Its my absolute pleasure, I have been away from logging into the tube over the past few months, so I am playing catch up right now with those who are uploading.
Fascinating collection....Thanks for posting.

Never forget the clag we got off 60042 just before going to Cleethorpes, oh my god what a monster! 5* Dave

Indeed. All we need to do now is find another tug to knock 60042 off her perch in the clagging stakes, before it's too late... LOL!
Thanks Wooly.
