  • healty roots men

  • Haha just discovered the wonders of saving lids planting some N. Rustica & N. Sylvestris today.

  • Hey! Great videos! Btw, around this time during indoor replanting is when I would also put a fan on them - very lightly oscillating - it helps strengthen their stalks. How does the virginia taste? I'm thinking about growing some for a pipe mixture...

  • @douggerthebarber awesome suggestion! I do find the indoor starting creates fragile stems at this stage! A fan would be excellent exercise so-to-speak!

  • hi, i planted my seeds and seemed to have produced about 5 differenct types of plants? they all look completely different but the ones that look the most like the ones you have there are much more dark green....

    any help?

    thanks

  • @rhulancorp5 Depending on your seed source, it sounds like you do have 5 different types of plants! Either that or a cross-pollinated plant which can happen if your seed supplier grew several different type of tobaccos in the same lot. All of your seedlings should look the exact same as they are sprouting assuming you have consistent light and warmth.

  • went to your website and found your ebay, put those in my watchlist so if i decide to buy and grow i'll get them from you, a LOT cheaper then what i was looking at before! just want to know, since it's late in the growing season for us up north, will these seeds keep if i stick them in the freezer like vegetable seeds?

  • @KingofComputing Sweet! Yes, low overhead = low prices, we contract on a very small scale with a few people in central wa who grow the mother plants for us! Yes if you are in the northern states, its a little late to start. The good thing is that the seeds grown for 2011 is a tremendous year with a near 99% germination rate, the most important factor is humidity exposure, but these come in a fresh sealed plastic baggie, so they are stable for a few years so long as you keep them in a cool dry

  • @SurfMonkeyCoconut ...spot. These seeds are very tiny and fragile so I wouldn't recommend putting them in your freezer, standard seed handling techniques do not apply for these babys!

You can order either from our website or our ebay listings, I highly recommend the 2011 year, its been the best germination year yet! I think between our growers and our studies, our seeds offer a very high value for your dollar!

  • Anyone know where to get tobacco seeds on the Internet or wherever

  • @THETECDOCTOR YES! Absolutely! We sell these on our website at the lowest prices you will find! Low overhead, specialized crop = low price! Surfmonkeycoconut com

  • what are good fertilzer??

  • @kenny2498 Any fertilizer labeled for tomatoes! Tobacco is related to the tomato and have just about the same nutritional requirements!

  • mine is just at that stage now and theyve been growing for about 7 weeks!

  • @reballare awesome you are right on track! they grow slow at this stage as they develop their root system, soon thereafter they grow like monsters!

  • mine is half that size and is really slow

  • @jbob108 you need time, sunlight and water! mostly time though...and lots of sun...oh yeah and lots of water!

  • @jbob108 More sun, transplant to a bigger pot and be sure to keep soil moist at all times! those 3 things and you should be good!

  • Absolute great tutorial! My plants are growing very well so far. I got a question. Could I ditch the planting in the middle sized pots and plant the seedlings directly from the root trainers in the big pots or would that have any negative effect on the plants?

  • @bentbilliard Typically you want to plant into a larger nursery pot before going to a bigger pot just so that they have time to be in an indoor environment and become stronger plant before moving outside, (about 2 months). But if you have a greenhouse where there is already sufficient light or a sunny sheltered area you can plant directly in the final container. The only caution if it is outdoors is wind and rain, these will easily damage the seedling and most likely kill the little guy.

  • @SurfMonkeyCoconut Thanks a lot! then I will not plant them outside yet.

  • Please respond;

when is the right time to start this year, I guess you can already start but when are they so big you have to put them outside in the sunlight? so when do you want to start this year? thnx

  • @198CharlesMartel198 START NOW!!! :D Ideally any time now-june, although June is a little late. The seedlings will take about 2-3 months before they will be ready for outdoor planting so If you start now, the summer heat should be in full effect when they are ready to go outside!

  • @SurfMonkeyCoconut thnx man good job on the vids

hopefully they'll grow as big as your ones :D

  • do you know what kind of seeds camel uses

  • @megagrower1 Virginia seeds, it has a light flavor suitable for cigarettes!

  • @megagrower1 camel doesnt use seeds, they buy there tobbacco from farmers, and make their product, they use multiple types of flu-cured

  • @megagrower1 Cigarettes use mostly virginias and burleys, up to 20 and more different varieties in a blend.

  • how much longer till the fourth part?? im so interested! haha

  • @dayboyy24 hey there! Part 4 is here!!! I just posted it as a response to this video for your convenience!

  • is there a fourth part?

  • @qdsfd These videos are being made in real-time, the plants today look just a little bigger than the ones that appear in the video. We will post another video in about 2-3 weeks!

  • I love to use those bamboo skewers, their cheap and sturdy. I heard you can even cook with them. LOL

  • @FenderGibsonWashburn Yeah! I always have a million of them laying around....I guess i buy them for Kabobs, but never get around to making any.
