ALL this talk about unopened mussels, all they say is, "they were already dead before you started cooking them", BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!
is it just a matter of not being able to trust the quality or the expiration of that particular piece? if so does it necessarily mean that that one is bad?
did u not even season them!? Butter, shallots, roma tomatos,Dill weed,garlic and white wine is the best way.OH, salt n pepper too(perferably sea salt)

u could also use said spices then add flour and heavy whipping cream!
