I actually learned a few sign language words because I couldn't really talk until I was around 4 years old.. Now, I'm 16 years old (almost 17!) and I can speak ALMOST perfectly.

@jonasbrothersrockist I'm glad you asking me. I'm not mad...Trust me. You're not rude. :D My parents is hearing and so is my little brother too. I'm only deaf person this family. Both my parents side family wasn't deaf. They all hearing. I think the reason the God gave me a strength for me to became deaf when I was 2. (just saying)

that good question. For example If I go to the store or a restaurant place....If I cant understand them what they said and I would have to ask write a paper for me that way I can read.

this is so cool. im taking my first sign lanugage class starting in september. i work as a lifeguard and swim instructor and there are kids that are deaf and a parent has to come in the water and talk for them. So i decided to take the class on my on will so the kids get a chance at being like everyone else during the lessons.
