  • I got the same # wrong as the vid maker - only I expected TDK, Chris Nolan, Clint Eastwood, and Dev Patel.

  • I think in each category, thr r 3 o 4 r certain nominated, only the last spot, we not sure who gonna, get it. But I dun think we had any problem predict the winner!

  • what's this song?it's beautifull...

  • it call "Primavera" by Ludovico Einaudi. I heard it from the trailer of "The Reader". I really like it, very happy u enjoy it too.

  • Very well done... a hug from Colombia

  • gracia,but missa lot.

  • those are pretty good predictions! but u missed a few but no probs you got the major ones down and im definitely looking forward to watching the winners

  • what a surprise for few nominee, but i have my own winner, i will make the clip bout the winner soon, hopefully i right this time.

  • yeah..i've actually so far watched all the performances except that of melissa leo in frozen river and richard jenkins in the visitor..but yeah i've been crazily going out and watching movies like no other haha i need to chilld out..well good luck for ur predictions!

  • hi guys, this is the first time i write on this board..

@kenwie86 , can u plz tell me the name of the back ground music that u have used in this video.. i just love it..

also, from where i can download it.. ?

    thnks

    sandip

  • hi, thks to comment, the music called primavera, the composer is Ludovico Einaudi. u can straight download from here, it a full version.

  • WRONG, WRONG, WRONG and again WRONG

Sam didn't get in. Kate in the wrong place, and rev. road NOT nominated SUCKER!!!

  • how well u get, sucker? TDK not in the list too. Best director, best picture, where it is?

  • Good luck. Can't wait for Thursday!!

  • Aside from having "The Reader" in your Best Picture lineup, these predictions are WAY too safe, the academy has always thrown in some unlikely contender that NOONE thinks it's going to be there.

Kudos for not having The Dark Knight in best picture though.

  • it true, but within this past 5yr,none of this happen, after 2003 whr naomi watt got in the last minute who kick out nicole kidman. but after that, all the nominations list is the one who been nominated in golden globe n SAG award.Same as this yr,it hard to see who could surprise us,instead of Cate,Keira,Kristin,Melissa,Clint. They r consider too.But apart from them,i dont see who can break through this tough competition.

  • Well, you're forgetting Laura Linney for "The Savages" last year, she missed almost all of the precursors, yet made it.

I think Richard Jenkins for "The Visitor" Michael Shannon in "Revolutionary Road" and Rosemary DeWitt or Debra Winger for "Rachel Getting Married" have a chance to make the shortlist and I certainly hope so.

  • laura linney is still ok, bcoz philip in this movie nominated in golden globe, so still can see the savages might get nominated somewhr. Michael Shannon is not surprise,u didnt see my description, aren't u?Supporting Actress,I think 4 is guarantee, the last spot would b the fight between Marisa Tomei n Taraji P. Henson. The Visitor is very small film,no great actor inside, so i dont think he can grab jury attention. I think probrbly Clint may in the list.

  • Uh... "The Savages" got nominated last year, what are you talking about?

Richard Jenkins made SAG so he has a shot and of COURSE Shannon is a surprise, he missed Globes, SAGs, BAFTA, Critic's Choice, NBR, it's nothing short of a surprise if he makes it in.

And I don't see the deal with Henson's performance, it's nothing amazing, I hope she's not nominated.

  • Laura Linney nominated with this movic,I didnt said The Savages nominated in Best Picture?I juz said this movie will nominated somewhr.Michael Shannon not nominated in various event, but doesn't mean he's the surprise.Richard Jenkins make in to SAG,then how bout Melissa Leo,u think she got a chance? Taraji performance is extroordinary, from young to old,she is great. But of course i hope i got 100% correct.

  • No, I said that The Savages got nominated last year, so I don't know why you're saying that it could show up somewhere.

If an actor misses all of the precursors and still makes it to the Oscars, then he is a surprise, it's just the way it is.

Melissa Leo does have a chance, but I hope she's not nominated, I hated "Frozen River".

And Taraji's performance is just very dull and boring to me, as all performances in "Benjamin Button" were.

  • tat's what i meant.i said it nominated in golden globe,so it could nominated in oscar.what i said is b4 the nomination list came out,we know The Savages will nominated, only not sure in which category.

If Revolutionary Road not nominated in any award,n suddenly Michael Shannon nominated with the film, that's call surprise. If the film is nominated in various event, then every actor got a chance,n it not call surprise.

eg.Richard Jenkins in SAG,that what we call surprise.

  • The Dark Knight should be in the race its the 2nd highest grossing movie in the US and it was phenomanol. And of course Titanic the highest grossing movie of all time (still questioning that one) gets 11 nominations and wins best picture. Both Wall-E and Dark Knight should be on there studios are pushing blockbusters like WAll-E, Dark Knight, and Iron Man for noms. Wall-E should be on there hands down who cares if its nominated

By the way Titanic sucked thats why I said that

  • Titanic get 14 nom n win 11 awards. Not sure bout Wall-E bcoz it definitely going to win best animated film. But their adding this award to the animated film,if their nominated it into Best Picture, then what is mean for Best Anmated Film,it will made this category meaningless. A lot of ppl argue bout TDK should nominated o not,be patient, the nomination comin out 5 day more, then let see if TDK mae it o not.

  • what is so good about revolutionary road I heard it wasn't even that good and critics didn't even like it that much. Either way Slumdog should be on there so should Dark Knight. And Mickey Rourke will win best actor for the Wrestler which should have more nominations

  • FYI,The Wrestler also not getting too good critic, they said it not the best film, but the performance of Mickey Rourke is extroordinary.

  • Which song is this?

good video, but maybe too many coincidences with golden globes

  • Thx.this music calls Primavera.golden globe is one of the important event to help predicting the nomination list of Oscar, therefore the nomination list is not much different from golden globe. But of course I also consider result from SAG n other critic award b4 making this list.

  • who is the composer?

do you have predictions about score?

  • i 4got the composer name.

I have prediction about original score,it going to be AR Rahman from Slumdog Millionaire.

  • i found the composer name for primavera, Ludovico Einaudi.

  • Leo ain't gonna get a nomination. I didn't put The Reader on my list, but Oscars love controversy. The knucklehead above me thinks The Dark Knight will get in. That's a load of crap. The Academy isn't smart enough to see a really good picture when it's a big blockbuster action film (unless it's based on a book like LOTR). But come on, have a little fun with the list and pick someone unexpected! There is always an unexpected nomination. Your list is too safe :(

  • I hate to say tat again n again n again. When I made the list,i know sure b someone said TDK will nominated in this n that, but i juz want to say,do u really think so?Every1 talk about TDK are the performance of Heath, how marvelous he potray the joker, how prefect his perform,no doubt bout tat.But wat made tis movie bcame talk of 2008 is the death of Heath, until now,i heard ppl talk about Heath performance rather then movie itself.Batman Begin also great, but y no 1 ever said it should nominated?

  • I NEVER said I think TDK will get in! I said the knucklehead below me thinks so (sonicfan74). I don't think it will because the oscars don't go for that stuff. And FYI, I have been excited for this movie before Heath's death. I knew it was going to be brilliant then. And TDK is WAY batter than the very stellar BB. There truly is no comparision. Do you really think people went to see this movie multiple times JUST BECAUSE somebody from the movie died in it. I don't think so

  • i am not knucklehead the dark knight made on afi top 10 number 2 it got in the runing for the critics choice awards for best pictuer it has goten nominations forom the pga the dga and other guildes and its the 2nd top grossing film of all time and after the teribel viewings of last year the acadamey should put a film in the runing that people have seen

  • Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to see TDK get into the race. I just don't see it happening. I think it would be a smart choice by the academy, but the academy is full of snobbish people who don't care about box office success. They care about dramas and romance stories. TDK really isn't either of those.

  • nothing is impossible, only this yr got a lot of good film,no one have 100% guarantee to get a ticket to the oscar.

  • But i think the performance of Heath Ledger grab everyone attention instead the film itself, mayb can say like that, after watching this film, the most memorizing is the performance of Heath Ledger as the joker.

  • good list with actors but there is to much contraversy with the reader that i dont think it will get nominatd and revolutonary road could be to dipreasing i think bet pictuer will be

    frost/nixion

    slumdog

    milk

    benjimen button

and either doubt or the dark knight

  • Im sorry to says this, TDK seem impossible to nominated. The Reader been selected as top10 best movie of 2008 in whole magazine, that y i put it on my list.

  • you could be right. i think tdk will get nominated becaues of the low viewings last year they need something that the people have seen and liked. also the dark knight was nominated for the critics choice awards and was rated number 2 on afi top 10 films of 2008 and the dga gave chris nolan a nomination. but i could be wrong. i hope i am not even though i dont like summer films to much i loved TDK

  • and it got nominated by the pga i think it has at least a small chance
