Jim is correct, that entire Temple Of The Dog album was excellent. Mother Love Bone was the best band to come out of that scene, too bad they were only able to put out 1 album. TOTD also spawned Pearl Jam from the remainders of MLB.

Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket and M. Ward are not mainstream by any means. Maybe to the indie kids but to the general population they not known at all. If you ask a house mom who miley cyrus is she will know, if you ask her who bright eyes is she'll look at you funny. Mainstream is the majority population, indie fans are not the mainstream so therefore Conor, James and Ward are not mainstream. Hacks? Not even close.
