ND might suck but they beat UCLA both times that they played them in the last five years. Fauria left because he got suspended, and one area where ND isn't lacking is tight end, especially with Kyle Rudolph returning.
ND has one of the most marketable/valuable football programs in the country . UCLA is only relevant on a national level during the 1 game a year when they play USC.

Tossing Weis under bus? First of all we are paying him close to 30 million. Second, Clausen is leaving so Anthony would be able to start four years with the same QB. Third, Anthony's dad knows first hand that ND grads take care of each other. Fourth, with Clausen leaving Anthony would be the star on campus. Well, if he wants to play defense exclusively, then Notre Lame would be an excellent choice. Not sure what UCLA sees him as, but at MICHIGAN, he can play either, we want him as a RB where as most colleges, including the Domers want him on D.

Anthony Barr'S mom is the principal at my school St.Paul. lol we played Loyola last year but he didnt do shit against us. as you can see he destroyed these teams but he only had like 110 yds and no scores but we still lost but w.e.

Anthony is the kind of player that once you get him on campus, your going to have both the offense and defense coaches fighting over him. Just a great RB, and he could also be a monster at the Hybrid LB/DB position.

With Urban Meyer now saying he doesn't want the ND job that leaves them looking for a new direction, unless they get a miracle this year. Recruiting class ranking doesn't mean shit if those kids can't produce at the next level. UofM had the 8th rank recruiting last year which means those kids are only sophmores now. Players hit their stride their Junior and Senior years.. Lets go by your logic ND in 2008 had the 2nd ranked recruiting class back up by a 8th ranked class it's pervious year..

Barr's a great athlete and is being recruited by Michigan to be a RB, not a defensive guy (although he's athletic enough to play anywhere), but this kids size would open up another dimension to RR's offense. He's a BIG powerful RB that will have no problem plowing through a 1000lb human wall!
This is really simple, he hasn't chose ND because like eveyone lese we all know that if ole Charlie don't come through this year, he is gone, and all the ND homers know this. Looks like he is just paying ND some lip service because of family. He can only go to 1 of the Pac 10 teams, so its 1 of them or Michigan.

UofM is on the outside looking in. Barr really has 4 main schools he's looking at #5 is just to have 5 schools, which is, you named it UofM..
Barr pretty much confirmed in an interview that he will wait to see how ND's season progresses before he makes any committment. If the program was more stable right now, Barr would have probably committed a long time ago.
The point being is that Michigan recruits until February, I'm not giving up on Barr until he commits, can you imagine how sweet he'd look in that winged helmet punishing B10 LB's? Basicly I knew ND would stink in 07 & 08 cause of the poor recruiting in 04 & 05. If you added up the talent recuited in 04 & 05 you get 7 to 8 players with a four star ranking. That's two classes COMBINE!
Add up the 07 & 08 classes (this years Soph & Juniors) you get close to 30 players with 4 star or better. That's why ND will win this year and for years to come.
Barr should play at ND where his father and Uncled starred.

Tossing Weis under bus? First of all we are paying him close to 30 million. Second, Clausen is leaving so Anthony would be able to start four years with the same QB. Third, Anthony's dad knows first hand that ND grads take care of each other. Fourth, with Clausen leaving Anthony would be the star on campus. He will meet friends that will stay with him, football or no football, for the rest of his life. We don't throw people under a buss. Coach Weis is respected, but admits he didn't do his job.

Im afraid Anthony is now most likely out of Michigan's reach fella's. He looks to be down to ucla and notre dame, but says he wont commit to notre dame until he knows who the coach is. unless we get a few more spots open somehow, and he has a signing day miracle change of heart, were gonna have to let anothony barr go as a michigan prospect. its hard to let him go to notre dame and let his talent go to waste in what will be a terrable team the next few years.

They call it a final list for a reason being it 5, 3, or 6 schools. It means they are really considering those schools the most.

The fact is, UofM fire a 9-10 win coach for another 9-10 win coach. Rich isn't going to bring national titles to Michigan. He couldn't do it at WVU which is in a weaker conference what says he's going to do it at UofM.

Well, if he wants to play defense exclusively, then Notre Lame would be an excellent choice. Not sure what UCLA sees him as, but at MICHIGAN, he can play either, we want him as a RB where as most colleges, including the Domers want him on D.
The correct choice IS Michigan, but I wish him luck where ever he chooses!

No way JClaussen gets a heisman, I'm not saying he isn't a decent QB, he is, but he doesn't compare to the other QB's on the list. Like I said, Capt. Anthony is the kind of player that once you get him on campus, your going to have both the offense and defense coaches fighting over him. Just a great RB, and he could also be a monster at the Hybrid LB/DB position.

I would think out of the Pac 10 schools Cal has as good as shot as SC and UCLA. Glad to see Cal looking at him as a RB.
With Urban Meyer now saying he doesn't want the ND job that leaves them looking for a new direction, unless they get a miracle this year. SC, you just have that feeling that sooner or latter the hammer will come down, and UCLA if they can ever be a factor again, it will take years. Im not sold on those coaches UCLA has now at all.

I guess Chow is a good OC, but BYU and USC hasn't missed a beat since he has left them. He has tried to get a H.C. job but for whatever reason can't.
Still it takes more then 1 good coach to put a team together.
Rick Neuheisel on the other hand left Colorado and Washington both in a mess.
It would be nice to see UCLA get back into the national picture, time will tell. Most UCLA fans I know, don't expect it to happen soon.
Perhaps that is why they can't sell out a home game.

Chow is one of the best OC's in the game today. Thats why he makes 2 million a year and USC hasnt won a NC since Chow left.
UCLA can turn it around, but they need to keep recruiting better players.

Recruiting class ranking doesn't mean shit if those kids can't produce at the next level. UofM had the 8th rank recruiting last year which means those kids are only sophmores now. Players hit their stride their Junior and Senior years.. Lets go by your logic ND in 2008 had the 2nd ranked recruiting class back up by a 8th ranked class it's pervious year..
So more experience wise goes to ND.

Weis first year he went 9-3 and a BCS bowl. Charlie second year went 10-2 with another BCS bowl.. What has DickRod done his first year at UofM? DickRod already has commited an NCAA violation by practicing over the NCAA time permits.. Even his own player are rating him out. That's just sad!

Pure envy toward Michigan, looks like folks would rather talk garbage than focus on what's real important here & thats Barr coming to Ann Arbor.
Save the opinions until the season starts.
Barr's a great athlete and is being recruited by Michigan to be a RB, not a defensive guy (although he's athletic enough to play anywhere), but this kids size would open up another dimension to RR's offense. He's a BIG powerful RB that will have no problem plowing through a 1000lb human wall!

You also forgot to mention 1910 24 hours before Notre Dame and Michigan are to play, Yost cancels the game. The two teams do not play again for thirty-two years.
I guess Yost and UofM was to chciken shit to play ND while Rockne was coach. So that series lead is quite skew. Michigan might of shown ND how play football, but ND showed Michigan how to win championships..

As mentioned in the past, Michigan still has a chance, a small one, but they are STILL in his top 5. If he goes anywhere other than Michigan, he will be forced to play a position that IS NOT his choice.
The staff has indicated that they would want him as a RB and the door is open in that department next season.
He's got the size to punish defenders in the B10, so I see a natural fit in the backfield!
Bottom line, Ann Arbor wants Barr!

So please lots of us have premium Scout or Rivals, and this is the latest on him.
Michigan is recruiting him as an ATH, meaning in the S&C program, they can keep him lean and fast, and even add to it, or big and strong, depending on where HE wants to really play. He can play RB, TE, LB or even DE, it just all depends on where HE wants to play.
I can only imagine what Barwis can do with a super ATH like Anthony.

UofM is on the outside looking in. Barr really has 4 main schools he's looking at #5 is just to have 5 schools, which is, you named it UofM..
Barr pretty much confirmed in an interview that he will wait to see how ND's season progresses before he makes any committment. If the program was more stable right now, Barr would have probably committed a long time ago.

NOTRE DAME!!!!!!!!! Go as an athlete and let things fall how they may. To my knowledge there is only one running back at 6'4 in the league. There is a reason for that.

Barr said himself that he doesn't care what postion he plays as long as he plays. If I were him I would want to play RB cause he looks great at that position.

Well one thing I agree with you on is that Barr should play RB. ND is looking at him on Defense but it's not like they won't take a look at him on offense, they will.
I don't see him going to Michigan, I don't think there is even a slim chance of that.

Basicly I knew ND would stink in 07 & 08 cause of the poor recruiting in 04 & 05. If you added up the talent recuited in 04 & 05 you get 7 to 8 players with a four star ranking. That's two classes COMBINE!
Add up the 07 & 08 classes (this years Soph & Juniors) you get close to 30 players with 4 star or better. That's why ND will win this year and for years to come.
Barr should play at ND where his father and Uncled starred.

Just because Dad and Uncle went to NL doesn't mean Barr should "play at ND".
They want him for defense, Barr wants to punish some LB's from the backfield and thats where Michigan wants him, in the backfield.
If he wants to play Defense, go to NL (or any other school recruiting him).

Ya but Michigan sucked last year, and they'll be about .500 this year. ND will be coming off a very likely 10+ win and bcs game season. USC is like right down the street too.
I personally think it'll come down to USC and ND. In the end, i think he ends up at ND.

C'mon, it's not like the Domers were some supreme team last season! Granted they won over Michigan, and played lonely Hawaii in a bowl game, but they also got it handed to them by Syracuse!
That said, WE WANT BARR, will we get him? Chances are slim, but you never know what can happen between now and February. I know if he chose anywhere other than Michigan, he can kiss his RB days goodbye.
I wish him luck wherever he goes!
