This is a great explanation. In fact, I have The Book of The Dead, checked, and all the characters correspond exactly to the T. Good Job! Also, you can watch a recreation of this here /watch?v=CfRNrHEUwFI&feature=related called The Egyptian Book of The Dead, though you should watch the whole 1 – 10 videos. Ah, and make sure you turn up the volume.
That is so funny! Anubis--the black jackal--begins to bark, at Smith, at the end of the video! That is good! I like your video: clear, concise, straightforward, and to the point: unlike how people like the late Gordo Bitner Hinckley usually acted, as well as the Late, Great Paul H. Dunn (both of them good at fabrication and prevarication).
Mormonism is the eternal presence of an absence. when they have evidence of Joe's error, like the Abraham papyrus, they reject it and when they have no evidence at all, like the BofM, that they accept!
Only Joseph Smith could read the book of Mormons because he had the magical stone. Whats next a magical ring that Joseph could use to fly, a leprechaun.
I grew up mormon. I am wondering how any mormon could watch this and still believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I mean, what excuse could they possibly make. ??
mormon apologists prove they are willing to stoop to any low in order to hold on to their belief in Joseph Smith. There are those who are just gullible, and then those who just throw their brains down and smash that sucker flat.
The sad thing about Mormons is that they will believe ANYTHING a higher up tells them. I dated a Mormon girl a few years ago and I had tried many times to witness to her through the Bible. I tried to show her that what she believed was false. I told her one of her own doctrines and she said that Mormons do not believe that. We went to the Mormon Missionaries in the area and they said yes that is correct. Her response was, "Awesome! That is so cool!" It is so sad that the evidence is right there.

@ELoveSquadUp the idea that God used to be a man on another planet and through eternal progression He became the God that we know today. All powerful, all knowing, etc. Also, if you are a "good Mormon", you will enter the 3rd and highest form of Heaven where you will receive a planet and there you and your wife will have spirit children and that will be your own planet to rule just like God does with ours. I am not making that up. As crazy as it sounds, the missionaries told us that was true!
Why would he leave unless he sincerely thought the LDS Church is wrong? What would he have to gain?
Would he gain new friendships and the admiration of his family? Doubtful, since all his friends and family are probably still in the LDS Church.
Would his friends stick by him, respect his decision, and do all they can to help him? Nope, his former friends would do all they can to get him to repent and return.
@Blockygraphics Don't give up all hope, I just got notified by a Mormon a few weeks ago that he was leaving Mormonism and he thanked me for the information on my website...praise God!
"I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently, on the faults of other people's religions, he is in a bad condition." -
Really, that's all you have to say? I know the music stinks...the keyboard is not my strong suit. But you can't dispute how far off Joseph Smith was in his translation and interpretation. Do you still think Joseph Smith was correct after watching the video?
Most of this has already been researched and well documented by FAIR and other teams of researchers but perhaps you haven't gotten the memo to stop rehashing already refuted material. It seems much more likely now that what many have cleaved to in desperation now only do so in rebellion to the church based on any solid ground.
The attempt to prove the LDS church wrong is a house of cards... most people don't realize that is what's being built.
I guess Michael Rhodes, the Mormon Egyptologist, didn't get the memo either...
I often hear that these "are tired old arguments that have already been refuted" from Mormons...but rarely do you guys actually challenge the content.
Joseph Smith's interpretation doesn't even come close to the actual text in the facsimile...not according to me, but according to an Egyptologist who is biased in Smith's favor...how do you explain that?...at least summarize it here if it is too long.
"...O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not...
But to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God. 2 Nephi 9:28-29
"It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion."
Whether ancient Israel or its modern day counterpart, this is true for all who fight against Zion. The blessings are availalbe today but will u see it?
THELDSLIFE, take a minute and reflect on what you are doing...you have completely ignored the content of the video and that it clearly demonstrates that Smith didn't have a clue what was in front of him in the papyrus scrolls.
You say it has been refuted, but provide no further explanation, only quotes from the Book of Mormon.
Open your eyes to the truth...it is right in front of you. We cannot test a self-proclaimed prophet without looking at his works...Joseph Smith failed the test.
@THELDSLIFE Do you want to keep positing non existent papyrus that have these glyphs and some how have a different meaning? Mormonism keeps reducing itself to "The presence of an Absence" and it leaves us wanting;////Evidence. ..For the BofM, no evidence but that of Spaulding. THus we have a stolen plagiarized book for History and a Book of the Dead translation that is completely wrong as to date, icons, meanings. and positing another missing text is pitiful It is time to run for the exit door.
Answer to your mormon scripture: Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch--Matt 15:14. LDSLIFE doesn't see it, because his heart is blinded to truth. Pray that the LORD will open their hearts to the truth (See Acts 16:14)
Good job with this one. Let us pray it opens some eyes and takes them out of the bondage of Mormonism. Open their eyes Lord, free them Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
