@071281 I don't have it or know where it is. Its been a year since I've used these cameras, sadly. Maybe check at DVinfo in the JVC GY-HD camera forum section. Thats where I would look.
I just Bought the JVC GY HM 100U on June 9TH 2010 and It is GREAT I Love It, I have Used so many different JVC's in the Past and I Must Say the JVC GY HM 100U is the Best out of all. SERIOUSLY!
Still havent figured it out... I ran a test with all settings in capture/sequence the same 1280 by 720 and it still comes up with letterboxes. your video is one of the only ones that ive found shot with 100 u that has perfect aspect ratio...
Any chance it was shot in 4:3 instead of 16:9 HD?
what do you set your export settings to to get this good of quality?... Also, how do you get it to fit the youtube viewer? every video i export ends up with crappy letterboxes... and the video i uploaded the quality is not the same once i uploaded to youtube. (see video response)
@clairmont425 were the letterboxes there when you were editing? I edited this on final cut and once I was done editing I exported through Quicktime Conversion instead of just making a .mov file. It was converted to a h.264. I set the size to 1280x720 and the bit rate to 3500 kbits/sec. I think thats pretty much it
ive recently lost the scene file for true color 3.... I cant find it anywhere. Any chance that you would still have it or know it?

@jpr321 As you can see, the only difference between yours and mine is the letterbox on top....
it seems like i've tried ever export setting- still no luck- seems like the problem lies within final cut- any ideas?
i tried changing format of clip in sequence to "anamorphic", it's also set to "square".
