  • Hi would this effect work in FCP 10?

    It's a cool Effect

    Thanks

but dose it work in FCP 10?

  • @3Dking100 I would imagine so as FCP X is a step up... We don't have it though, so can't say for sure. x

  • @REELOnlineFilmSchool Its not a step up. But i would like to know if its possible too.

  • @OntarioJibber yeah I see what you're saying - I'd imagine it was possible, but a lack of hands on experience with FCPX means I can't give u any info :( Sorry about that x

  • This tut is awesome, how can i do the same but with red blue glasses, cuz i am dping a homework for university and i want to do a 3d presentation, thank u so much!

  • @eljaimillo just play with the settings like elliot says - there are several options and one is the red - blue glasses. I also think someone commented on the video with a more detailed explaination for the red - blue glasses :) x

  • Seriously, thank you so much. I couldn't believe how simple you made this. Much appreciation!

  • @tytscrib Glad we could help! x

  • For red/cyan glasses, use the red channel. Somewhere between -6 & -10 on the X axis seems to work best.

I will actually be presenting my documentary in anaglyph 3D using this technique at the end of the month.

  • @TonyAaronII cheers thanks for posting that info :) x

  • @REELOnlineFilmSchool N/p. I'm still trying to work out the settings. I feel like it could be so much better with a little more insight but I'm just missing something. Hopefully I'll figure it out & if I do I'll definitely share the information.

  • is that software free??

  • @1Filmproducer Unfortunately not. Final Cut Pro is quite an expensive program. But there are other editing programs that will allow you to do this.

  • Would I be able to do this in final cut ex

  • wat do i have to do to make it work with the red n blue glasses , please im doin a lil project for my lil niece , it would be fun to do it in 3D n puttin glasses wit the whole family , please thank you

  • @kmobthm hey, at about 6:45 elliot talks about the different ways you can shift the colour or "channels" as i think he puts it, he's just chosen a different option from the drop down menu and you'll see it goes red and blue. Just play around with it until you get the best effect :) Hope this helps and that the project goes down well x

  • is this the same as the red and blue 3D? will it work with the red an blue glasses?

  • @Mrhenryhoudini Hi. The process is the same, you just have to shift a different colour layer than the blue. Experiment a little with the offset and you'll crack it. :D Send us your results if you upload them to YouTube.

  • Thanks for the tutorial man. When I get back to school next week I'm defiantly going to try this on our final cut express software that we have in video production class. Again I thanks I really appreciate this tutorial very well.

  • Woah! That's so cool!

I watched a tv show called science in movie and the way they made 3d was by using two camcorders right next to each other and then layering them.

  • @Hyminym Yeah thats the principle of "real" 3D. This however is a post production process for people who cant afford the equipment during production. James Cameron recently produced the "pace-cameron" system that im sure you'll agree creates some pretty stunning 3D :)

  • @REELOnlineFilmSchool Yeah, i'll have to try out this way. Thanks a lot for the tutorial!
