This is the ep where Bobby Sherman needed to find a lyricist to put words to his music. It was a long search and he finds a dorky lyricist. I mean, Bobby needed someone else to write lyrics this lightweight?
Apologies: my earlier comment should have been more explicit. It's a reply to powerpuffkewpie inquiring about Wes Farrell. Mr. Farrell is the one who left us too soon at age 57.
(I keep forgetting that even if you reply to a specific comment, YouTube will have it show up as the most recent one unless you "show all comments". Replies look out of context or cause confusion.)
One person commented that Wes left us too soon? For years I have been trying to find anything about Wes, and I never turn up anything. Shed light, please????
He passed away in 1996; he was 57 years old according to the short Wiki page on him. Tiger Beat did an interesting interview with him back in the early days of PF that mentions his impressive work before PF. The C'mon Get Happy site has it posted.
Thanks for posting!! All my life my mom has been telling me about this song; it's the song I was named after. It's great to finally be able to hear it!!
I was named after this song too! I read your comment to my mom over the phone, she was excited and amazed someone else out there was named after it :)
Couple of things...can't remember who else wore the neck thing that Bobby wore in the episodes he was in...and it's sad that Wes left us too soon...I love the roll call of celebs that were on the PF...from Bobby to Richard Pryor...loved 'em all!
I posted this on another clip of this song, but there was another PF song with this backing track called "Good Times" Does anyone have that video? I think it was from the first season.

You would be hard pressed to find a single individual walking the face of the planet to describe Cassidy's instrument as "powerful". It's small, weak and white. You want to love him for his looks, be my guest, but don't insult people's intelligence by claiming his vocals have any kind of "power".
Well then maybe you need to post your comment on ALL PF/DC videos on YT!!
I'm sure you might find more than ONE individual who happens to disagree with you.
Maybe you might want to check out the vid with David & his brother Shawn singing a tune from the Broadway Play "Blood Brothers". Take a different view on some of his bubblegum pop.
Weak, Small, White people don't sing on Broadway nor have hits like FX in Vegas.
Thing is, the vocalists: Bahler Brothers, Jackie Ward and Ron Hicklin also backed up Bobby's songs on his records. Its pleasantly done but I would have rather heard David sing those songs. I keep thinking of Shirley and the kids when I hear those wonderful harmonies on other songs by other artists!!
Yes, never released on LP until the ARISTAs 2005 release 'P.F. The Hits' album. Penned by Bobby Hart of Boyce & Hart (with Farrell & Appel). Nice edit job there... :)
Um, my eyes are brown, not blue.

@PartridgesGarage Both great songs IMO. I wonder if there's a mash-up medley of the two. That would be epic.

Oh, and btw, John Lennon respected David's musical talent & befriended him.
So there's was one individual who respected DC.

Bobby Sherman wishes he had the voice range david cassidy does!

Yea---Sherman has three notes, Cassidy has three and a half---who are you kidding? They're both white dudes with cute mugs.

David is definitely a more powerful voice..and way better looking.

Perhaps one of the best episodes for multiple reasons, along with Bobby Sherman.
It even ends with driving an old hearse to Hollywood. Classic.
