@rockonley Good point. Pure landfill sites have a life of less than 20 years. Trash management sites (as indicated by the film) can keep going indefinately.

Like I said before, I don't want to take anything away from this film. It's one of my favourites. I have since found out that point 1 is wrong because of a poor translation. Apparently there is a version on YouTube with a better english narration.

Just goes to show that humans are not considered to be worth anything. Those children will never have an education and therefore will never get work and so the cycle continues with the future families scavenging the dump for food.
