Tarja has progressed vocally since her "Wishmaster" version with NW. Her interpretation of "Wishmaster" is awesome Live and should put Annette to shame. Annette's interpretation is really bad (major issues with staying in tune and holding high notes thus the annoying oheee and aheee that were often hear when she sings)
I have no problem with tarja singing the old NW songs. NW was Tarja's world for 9 years so I don't see why she should give up great songs like "Wishmaster". Annette is tragically bad at singing "Wishmaster" anyway... So at least we get to listen to this great song in all her glory.

From what I've read of copyright laws, the club or auditorium pays a yearly blanket license fee for ALL performances at that location for that year. The fees go straight to the proper record companies, and the song writers have to take what the record companies give them as their share of all blanket fees collected.

And you shut up about Anette singing her own songs, she can do it and quite good too, and she can sing old songs too, maybe not all but she can, while I have never seen Tarja sing any of the new ones. haha she cant sing her own songs,please listen to some songs she cant hit any of the higher notes,she just screams them or sings lower,Tarja stayed true to every single song i heard her sing. She is extremely beautiful in person,i wouldnt have believed it,but after being only a few feet away from her,i can tell you she is beautiful and so sweet.Why would Tarja sing any of the new ones?

Not hitting higher notes means there's not meant to be any higher notes, what do you think you're more clever than a composer like Tuomas to notice this or do you think he didn't notice it before you did? Please, take that elsewhere. And since Tarja loves covering Nightwish songs, let's see her covering the new ones. And don't give me the "she used to sing these songs" bullshit.

A bit obvious why you are making complains. Wishmaster is to comercial for Tarja but not for Nightwish I guess.
Specially since nightwish is not able to do an appropriate live perfomrance of WM.

As much as I love Anette, Trja is always going to be the best person to sing Wishmaster. I was written for her afterall, not Anette.

I have heard that beeing a founding member of Nightwish Tarja has the right to sing every old Nightwish song.
Besides there is no choise left. If one whants to hear Wishmaster live a Tarja concert is the only place to go. Anette is good on the new songs.

Well... I doubt very seriously if she has to pay anything... Copyright right laws with her name attached and royalties....etc
But if not.. I am sure her performing Nightwish songs and a buyout from the band were negotiated when she was let go from the band between lawyers.....

From what I've read of copyright laws, the club or auditorium pays a yearly blanket license fee for ALL performances at that location for that year. The fees go straight to the proper record companies, and the song writers have to take what the record companies give them as their share of all blanket fees collected.
