Japan and Singapore have no natural resources to speak of but a high standard of living. If poor got rich by accepting handouts for resource exports, Libyans would be rich.

Because there is a bell curve, you can always find an African who can beat a Russian or an Indian. But over all, African's have low IQs, and it cannot be explained only by poverty, bad nutrition, etc. There is a genetic component.

Even the few Indians expelled from Uganda/East Africa did not really cause that states' stagnation. It was a combination of things. These countries were destroyed when the black governments took over! Ecomonies went from strong to bankrupt. As for African countries gaining Indepedence 100 or 200 years ago, I never said any had. All I'm saying is that there is no point denying the negative impact that colonisation had on africa.

@supam2m Doesn't matter what Europeans did. Most Africans and African politicians have had control of their countries for over 60 years. 1/4 of the world was colonized by the British, alone, but every other continent is progressing economically while Africa is not. Southern Africa has been the exception to this pattern, but it is not going to continue to grow with idiots like Malema still talking about days long gone, in an effort to distract people from the problems going on now.

@r0c87 Wrong! Africa's economy is growing at the rate of over 8% depending on what figures you look at. The problem is People tend to look at the glass as half empty for whatever reason. Africa is like a super tanker that needs time to turn. remember it has been only 60 or so years since liberation of over a billion people. You think everything will work overnight? Did Europe or US get there overnight? don't be silly! Most important thing for Africa now is that AFRICANS take control of Africa.

@MUGiSA3000 Of course Africa is growing at a pace faster than india and China, but you have to admit that it is growing partly because of underdeveloped countries like Botswana and Namibia who are developing from scratch. There is a bright future in Africa, but still, an overwhelming percentage of wealth in subsaharan Africa is vested in Johannesburg. That will not continue by this man unless he has found a away to make investors attracted to racism

South America's largest Brazil became democratic only twentyish years ago after breaking away from Portugal over a hundred year ago. Nigeria, Africa's giant even if struggling has manged it in less than 50. The five states of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda are forming a (one curancy, one president) federation soon to be one nation of over 140 million people by 2020 after only 40 years of liberation.

Why are all the poorest nations in 2 in Africa and South America and not North America? Because in Oz and USA they killed most of the natives, but Africa and S. @113001596 Yes like Rwanda like Germany/Europe (WW2). Rwanda was a Belgian colony. The Belgians used to stoke up anomosity between the diferent groups of that state that led to the genocide you speak of. Africa was brutalized by colonialism when it could have done without it. And yes now Africa is responsible for her self and not many are trying to make things better for others. But this happened in Europe a few hundred years before industialization. So lets see where this century takes us.

The imperialism in Africa did a number on Africa, messed the gov. up, cause extreme poverty, still what you see today, civil wars, all that was incited by your white race.
