RE5 turned out pretty bad in the end considering how good it originally looked. RE5 also had a 5 year dev cycle, RE6 will have under 3 by the time of launch....I'm not too optimistic. ORC beta I played sucked also, the future of RE isn't looking too good.
Hey guys, remember when this trailer looked good and we thought it was what we were going to get entirely from RE5? RE6 is the same way! It looks good in the trailer (like every fucking game does), but the finished product is going to be very different, and probably will end up like the action shit we got with RE5. I don't trust Capcom anymore, maybe Revelations can change my mind and see whether they even have the potential to make a game with proper horror anymore.
@qazxsw13 well to be fair, this trailer came out 2 years before res evil 5 was released and with this trailer we didnt even get a release date, with res evil 6 however this game is coming out this year, we have a release date and from the look of the trailer the game looks preety much finished. And plus res evil 5 took a lot of backlash when it was first shown so they had to change a lot of it really! i see where your coming from though, i feel the same way about 5.
@OutcastMosquito Not really, the game has an ugly color filter that you can only remove on the PC version, but even then it is a bit outdated on the texture department for the year it was released. But without the color filter, the game looks good enough I suppose.

RE5 is an amazing game. Along with RE4...the only thing is with the "parasite" thing they are going for it takes alot of the horror out of the game. You dont feel as if you are killing the undead anymore (cause you arent lolz). The horror in RE is being replaced by action. So far i dont really mind but im definitely happy to see the RE go back to racoon city so we can get them zombies back!

Sheva was bad, but finding so much money for upgrades and so many ammo drops destroyed the game, i never ran out of ammo unless i got bored and went trigger happy...

When I saw this trailer for the first time I was excited, then I played the demo and I was like "hope this gameplay with partner will get off in the final version" and finally the frustation was coming when I saw only a few enemies at the same time, the fucking useless sheeva and the hollywood style in all the game...the game is fun, but nothing to do with the first RE tittles
when does any of this happen. I want this game not the shitty version we have now. I have never seen more then 6 zombies on the screen at a time. it this trailer I see at least 30 coming after Chris. I want that helpless feeling that I'm not going to make it out alive. thats whats exciting about the game.

@awfulcow23 This was a trailer made before they re-tooled the game. There was no Executioner per se, they just had the Chainsaw Majini wielding the axe but then decided to come up with a different character model. Also, the game was originally set up to be solo. Sheva wasn't added until later.
What sucked about the game is that there was no mass of enemies, your not by yourself, they don't charge or tackle you, nor does the light actually effect the game what so ever...

I thought resident evil 5 was an awsome game because of the whole co-op factor, I have always wanted to play Resident Evil on 2 player. However seeing this trailer made me look at the game from a whole other perspective, yes this game would've been awsome with just Chris fighting even more Majinis than you even fight in the game at once. Is it a good game? Hell yes it is. Is it Resident Evil? Not really. RE4 still had that Resident Evil feel, but this... it didn't feel like Resident Evil anymore. It's not the story: that was definitely Resident Evil. It was just the gameplay. It didn't feel scary at all anymore, nor was there any tension, which Resident Evil is renowned for having in spades.
@Skeletonpack I'm not worried about people like you. Its people that don't like it because its different. I think this was/is an awesome game, whether or not its a good RE game. I believe (Even though it doesn't make sense) that newcomers should start with this one since its easy, you can bring a friend to help, and simple. This game would have been alot creepier if it had just been Chris. Hell even just playing as Sheva would have been fine. I just did not like the AI.

The feeling of isolation was totally removed from RE since RE4 because you have the annoying Ashley and the stupid Sheva following you around. This should have been a BEAST of a game if CAPCOM didn't change it. imagine 30+ enemies attack you at the same time like in the mercenaries mode no mercy.

I wonder why the voice actor for Chris, who played him in the Umbrella Chronicles, left his position. Personally, I think Roger Craig Smith was a better choice. Smith has been the best choice since Chris' Code Veronica voice actor.

@awfulcow23 This was a trailer made before they re-tooled the game. There was no Executioner per se, they just had the Chainsaw Majini wielding the axe but then decided to come up with a different character model. Also, the game was originally set up to be solo. Sheva wasn't added until later.

I thought resident evil 5 was an awsome game because of the whole co-op factor, I have always wanted to play Resident Evil on 2 player. However seeing this trailer made me look at the game from a whole other perspective, yes this game would've been awsome with just Chris fighting even more Majinis than you even fight in the game at once. Those moves and dodges were AWSOME! But i dont see why they couldn't keep that with Sheva, so why is ever1 saying y did u bring in sheva it screwed it all up?

Stop complaining about Sheva and the co-op. My friend and I LOVE the co-op! You people hate Sheva, not the co-op. If it was Jill, this wouldn't be happening. :P

Is it a good game? Hell yes it is. Is it Resident Evil? Not really. RE4 still had that Resident Evil feel, but this... it didn't feel like Resident Evil anymore. It's not the story: that was definitely Resident Evil. It was just the gameplay. It didn't feel scary at all anymore, nor was there any tension, which Resident Evil is renowned for having in spades.
