I know I'm gona sound like a bimbo when I say this but I stopped playing kingdom hearts ages ago because of this boss. I did equip counter, guard and ana-something, i forgot the name lol. I read the description but how to do actually use guard in a battle,do you just press square? and I see that counter flashes next to your attack.hmmm I'll keep reading the description till i get it lol.

Well, if you picked the Staff, you should already have Counterattack (@ level 18 or 21, IIRC).

Unfortunately, you'll have a hard time getting the 1st Combo Plus (I believe Staff doesn't get it until somewhere in the 60's), which will make the "no damage/healing" part of this strategy difficult.

However, even with just Guard and Counterattack, you can beat him easily enough by loading up on dark damage resistance. Heal at half HP, and jump away and use Cure in mid-air when you do.

I think Metal Chocobo works relatively better in this battle (for me). Its range is longer than Olympia and it's also difficult to deflect. Although it doesn't do well in critical hits.

Yeah, I also did such a "loop strategy" starting in 0:40, and it's unstoppable since all of my attacks always hits! But I didn't remember to loop him before his powered-up form.

actually you cant get 100% protection

you cant even get 60%...

the highest you can get on Sora is approximately 50%

heres how it works:

100% is full dammage taken - 20% = 80% - 20% = 64% - 20% = 51.2%

the kingdom hearts strategy guide explains this. the dammage is reduced off of the remaining ammount so having the 3 items that you had would reduce the dark dammage to 51.2% of full (which means a 48.8% reduction)

Goofy can have 4 items so he can have a 59.04% reduction

and he will attack you with weird moves what is impossible to block!

the only thing to do is glide the whole time when he does that!

You can't (or at least, I don't remember anyone making a decent PS2 emulator yet).

I use a capture card, which allows me to plug my PS2 into my computer. I then use VirtualDub to display and record the footage.
