  • Resurrection Sunday? I think not. This is a good video but the Son's third day occurred on the Father's seventh day. This is no coincidence. The Son will rise to power over His millennial kingdom while the Father rests. Holy week (history also - we are in our 6th day) was 7 days long. The Lamb was chosen on Sunday, killed on Thursday, and resurrected on Saturday. This is something tradition missed completely, but it is very important for us to know.

  • brings you to tears to know that our savior had to suffer for us. Any time you think you are not good enough or broken, remember that you were important and precious enough for our savior to die for you. Truly lets you know that you matter.

  • I remember when i watch this conference it really struck me hard!i always hear about the atonement but what got me was how he said he stood utterly alone!Even when he bleed from every pore&cried from the pain how God was in agony that even he could not protect his only begotten son from all the Pain & sin he took upon himself so WE could return to him by the power of repentance!how great his pain i know when i feel alone& sinned im not alone! jesus know how i feel cus he suffered my sins as well

  • It's true. I testify it's true. I know it.

Thanks, Elder Holland, for sharing your testimony. :) I join mine with it.

  • I am proud to be LDS. I am not old enough to serve a mission yet, but I am preparing. Christ lives. He loves us all and we must stand by him because he stood by us even until death.

  • Elder Holland's talk has brought me closer to the Savior. I know that he lives! And I know that he came to the boy Joseph Smith on that clear morning in New York. I also know that the Savior came to my people in Hawaii. We are decendents of the house of Isreal. We were scattered unto the isles of the sea. All of Isreal was scattered. Not just to the North, but the the South, East, and West. My people knew of Jesus Christ and was waiting for his return. We still are! For He will be here soon!

  • Elder Holland is inspired and so eloquent. I love this gospel, and I am so grateful that Christ died for me.

  • All that we know would be lost without the atonement. Not a day goes by that I don't think of its significance in some way. I hope my (valiant) life and gratitude is sufficient, because I know no one will measure up 1:1, if Gods' grace and mercy were removed from the picture.

  • Loved it!!!!!!!!!! JESUS IS GREAT!

  • I love how there isn't any arguing on this video! Very powerful indeed!!

  • This is one of the most spiritually charged videos and messages ever. It is so powerful and is one of my favorites, especially for the Easter season.

  • Merci to Elder Jeffrey R Holland for speaking by the spirit and loving the savior and showing that love to us. So that we may all feel and partake of the love that the savior has for us. This is just a small peak at what our savior did for us. A understanding that we may all carry with us. I bear testimony that he lives, and that he suffered for our sins, and paved the way willingly for us to be able to return to our father in heaven. I am so very grateful for this gift and blessing.

  • What a Beautiful talk, and video. Happy Easter Everybody.

  • Let us never for get the great cost that was affixed to the greatest free gift to all. Much to joy in this Easter day. Much to celebrate! Much to appreciate!

  • This was such a powerful moving talk when it was originally given!! <3 Elder Holland!!

  • "...because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so."

Wow! That line really hit me. It is so incredible true. I know it. Christ is there for us no matter what. He loves us.

  • I love this video about what Jesus Christ has done for us. Truly there was no one great who has ever lived or will yet live, because of his life, atoning sacrifice and gift of life to all people because of His suffering for our sins and His resurrection.

  • God be thanked every day for the empty tomb, in the sacred and holy name of Jesus Christ our individual Savior and Redeemer!

  • i love elder holland's talks.

  • This is such a powerful talk. If you have 18 minutes watch Holland's talk from the 2009 General Conference which this video is taken from.

  • Wonderful Talk!!! I absolutely love it!

  • I love my Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • His talks are always very emotional. You can tell that he truly believes what he teaches and wants everyone else to feel the love he feels for our savior.

  • This video helped me feel the spirit, which bore witness that the atonement really did happen and that we need to repent and come unto him. I love our beloved prophets and Elders. They are great leaders in our church and i look up to them! :) May your easter be filled with the love of Christ <3 Thank you for posting!

  • Merci!

  • Our world is so in need of the savior's love and light. It is so simple to follow him and to love one another, yet, we complicate the way. He so reaches in love no matter what our weaknesses, yet, we reject him and then blame him or God for the mess in our world or the mess we made. Then it finally suits us to say, there is no God! That is unfortunately how- a big part of- the world has become. God lives and Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. Merci elder Holland!

  • Its something we have come to understand and live with, loneliness, but we always fight against it, never allowing it to stay, but in reality the pain is within not outside ourselves

  • What a blessing Jesus Christ has given us so we can live with God again.

  • This videos is one of my favorites¡¡¡¡ Thanks¡¡¡¡

  • This video is great! I love Jesus.

  • This is by far my favorite clip. I keep coming back to it when I struggle. It reminds me that we are never truly lost, and Jesus suffered all things for us; when I think of this it breaks my heart and at the same time fills it with hope for all of us.

I know the church is true!

  • This video keeps on inspiring me. When I feel lonely or discouraged, thinking about the Savior's love helps me feel better.

  • it was wonderful i loved it it shows such emotion

  • I'm so thankful for this video because it has helped me, and now one of my non-member friends watched it & she understands a little more of what General Conference/The LDS Church is like:)

  • Don't watch tjohn1986's Mormon video. He's trolling with us. : /

  • Psalm 22 1My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 5They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. 24For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. 31They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

  • Amazing video, and very inspiring....thank you to whomever posted it.

  • 1:14 really touches my heart...he holds so much knowledge in truth in his eyes. It's so sad.. the people don't understand..they don't remember...they're so lost. they act out in anger because they're too scared to believe in what would seem unfathomable. people are so fearful and doubtful to believe in what would require them to believe rather than having it proven. life is beautiful. God is beautiful. Live. Laugh. Love.

  • @HaveUconsidered True. If you listen to or read the entire talk, you can get the context of this statement. The point is made that the Father and Christ are always with us as the Father was always with Christ, except for the time specified on the cross.

  • My thoughts at the end of this video, as we see the empty tomb...though he was alone in life, the tomb was alone when he lived again. In other words, Christ did what he does for all of us. He took something bad, and made it good. He triumphed over death and the trials of life. Are we greater than he? No. Christ has descended below all, and overcome, that we may overcome all through him.

  • What a great message, this all really happened and Christ really is alive right now.

  • Beautiful depiction of Christ's atonement for me. May I never forget.

  • Apostles are men of God. Wow. Very moving.

  • I love this message. Jesus is an anchor for the soul!

  • One of my absolute favorite talks! Thank you for this channel.

  • cool!!

  • AMEN!

  • its true

  • This is one of my favorite talks about the Savior. I know that it bears a strong testimony of how much Jesus Christ loves us. I know that he speaks the truth and I am not ashamed to say it!

  • iii know the my redeemer live!

  • @HaveUconsidered The "long, lonely path" he is talking about was culminated with the crucifixion.

  • This is one of my favourite talks...... bring tears to my eyes but i feel joy that Jesus Christ humbly bore all things and so can I. I know that God loves us dearly and Jesus Christ is indeed the Saviour and Redeemer of the world, only through him can we be saved. The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints is Gods church on the earth today. Families can be together forever through Heavenly Fathers Plan. JESUS CHRIST LIVES!

  • This message is so profound, so heart-wrenching. If I watched it a thousand times I still would cry. Usually I try to avoid pictures or films that show Him before the Resurrection,I am a coward, but I feel 'that perfect brightness of hope' after watching this!

  • @HaveUconsidered The long, lonely path that Jesus walked alone is his suffering on the cross. Its the entire process of Jesus sacrificing his life for all of us. He alone had to endure the process or path of suffering for all our sins. These words are so wonderfully uplifting.

  • "One of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so."???

Actually, it was not the "path Jesus walked" that is the consolation for me this Easter but rather the sacrifice He offered ON THE CROSS. He was never "alone" when He walked this earth for He always was in direct fellowship with the Father. It was only on the cross when the sins of the world were laid on Him on our behalf that He was truly alone.

  • Praise Yaweh and Elohim and the heavenly father as well as the father son and holy spirit - AMEN - my easter prayer

  • I marvel at the beauty and simplicity of this message.

  • We watched this at EFY and I started sobbing. I felt silly, but I felt it's power so strong that I couldn't hold it back. Thank you Elder Holland for sharing your amazing talent of public speaking to better our world and my life.

  • This is what it's all about. Not eggs and bunnies. I wish more people understood the real meaning.

  • Have a beautiful Easter . . . pondering why we are here - - and who made that possible . . .

  • Have a beautiful Easter . . . . . . . .

  • That was absolutley beautiful!

  • Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, atoned for the sins of the world. He is my personal savior whom I love. His example stands forth for others to see and follow.

  • The true meaning of Easter.

  • Happy easter 2010

  • Its so nice to have readily accessible video shorts of the powerful testimonies of the apostles.

  • What a powerful message! What a powerful Jesus! ~ Amen

  • Doesn't this about say it all. Pray for the lost, who don't know Jesus one on one. He lives. He is our helpmate in all trouble. He is our Savior until we meet him again ..... Praise be to God, The Father Almighty ... creator of Heaven and earth .. Thank you, Jesus, for your supreme sacrifice, that we may have eternal life ~ Amen,

  • Hearing the words of our apostles as they testify of Christ causes my heart to burn with testimony. I am GRATEFUL and blessed to have the truth of the gospel in my life. My prayer is that I will live day by day in a way that reflects the love my Savior has shown to me. I can never repay the sacrifice He gave for me. Thank you, my Savior...

  • These words and video gripped me like no other. His journey must have been so difficult and alone. I love my Lord. Not matter what you think of Him and those who try to follow his teachings, I hope you know He loves you still.

  • Janieiscool~

People don't say that you don't worship Christ. Christians may say you don't believe Jesus is God. If Jesus is not God he can not pay for your sins he can only attain his own salvation thru perfection. Not only Gods son but God becoming flesh and dying too pay for our sins on the cross provides our way into eternal life.

  • HAPPY EASTER! :D

  • This is an amazing message. I am grateful for my savior Jesus Christ! I cannot imagine the great love he has for me! It must be great, because he was willing to suffering and die for me! I thank my Heavenly Father! I pray that I may come closer unto my God!

  • I just watched this in Seminary. It made me choke up, more so with that music. It continues to astound me how much Jesus has done for us.

  • Beautiful!

  • Jesus Christ has returned. I AM.

  • What a great talk and video!!!

  • So powerful!

  • Does anyone know if this video can be purchased or downloaded? I really want to show it as a part of my relief society lesson on Sunday. Thanks.

  • You need to purchase Replay Media Catcher. It works wonderfully. I use it for my wife's YW lessons. I also use Adobe Premiere to create a DVD out of it. Hope this helps!

  • It is a talk on the last april conference (178th) Sunday morning I think. If you can get the tapes... on library

  • google a file converter website and follow the instructions it has. My mom used it for her lesson too, lol.

  • @41051178 You can download 'realplayer' for free and save them that way too. A little download button appears above the video on the right and you just click on that after you have the realplayer. I do that for my Primary class videos.

  • If everyone who has viewed and will view this video, sends it to just five people and they do the same,it will become the most watched on youtube. Lets make it happen. I start now

  • Thanks for sharing this video.

    I like this message.

  • Beautiful talk.

  • Im so thankful for jesus christ my savior and the atoning sacrifice that he made for me:)

  • This is one of my favorite talks. Thank you.

  • Really moving, thank you! Merci! X

  • Just want to Thank My God, Jesus Christ.

He, who never thought ill of anyone, who never committed sin, who was required to finish the Atonement alone. Christ declared, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (Matt 27:46)

Even God the Father had to leave Christ for a moment so that our Savior would know how we would feel when we committed sin.

    I love my Savior.

  • Each of us have very personal and sometime daunting experiences, how beautiful to know that we are not walking alone. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ has been at my side, especially during the moments I felt that I could bear no more.

  • I've been a member of the Church for seven months now, and while over the summer I have gotten a little lax (I'm the only LDS in my family, and some of my family members continually question my choice to be apart of the Church), I always read some Scripture, or come and watch these touching videos, and they remind me why I chose to join. I hope and pray that I can continue in this faith, and show others the blessings I have recieved and experienced since my baptism and faith in Jesus Christ. :)

  • You can do it my sister..God is with you for He is at the helm

  • I have been a member all of my life and the blessing of this great gospel of christ are amazing. I have family who question my choice to be in this church also but i keep strong, and i hope you can keep coming unto christ cause he will give you more blessings than you can even receive. :)

  • way to go!! i to am a convert of 3 years and it is thing Best i have ever done!!

  • Elder Holland is one of my favorite speakers. Thank you Elder Holland. Something that we can never possibly fully comprehend is how the Savior atoned for our sins and afflictions. Truly he is the unspeakable Christ.

  • Jesus is. . . the Chirst! Thank you Elder Holland for your insight into this, the most wonderful and meaningful event in all of history.

  • Thank you for this message.

  • What a wonderful message not just for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints but its a message to all peoples of the world . Jesus Christ loves all of you t

  • This was my favorite talk at general conference. Elder Holland's messages always cut you right to the core. I love it. Thanks be to God for the Atonement!

  • What a powerful message. I love it.

  • gosh, what a video..

  • I am so humbled when I watch this video and listen to the words of an apostle ordained of God and am reminded of how much we always need to lean on Christ and endure to the end.

    Faith without works is dead.

  • wow! This is the best talk I have ever heard. It really helped me, because It helped me realize that I am not alone. He will always be there for me. Thank you Elder Holland, And Jesus Christ!

  • And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

  • Very powerful

  • wow.

  • Think that he went through all this for us.

  • One of the most amazing talks I've ever heard - look up the full version on LDS(.)org.

  • What a powerful message.

Jesus Christ came to this earth, died for us, rose the third day, and He lives!

  • I come back to this video and the original talk over and over for a spiritual pick me up. How powerful Elder Holland's testimony is to know that he speaks to the Lord - face to face. There isn't a more purer knowledge on this earth than the testimony of God's current Prophets and Apostles. He lives!

  • I am grateful to more fully understand what the Savior did...

  • Beautiful.

  • It's funny how people say we don't worship Jesus Christ...

  • It is so cheap to make movies like this,. too bad Church don't make more of them,....

  • Wow... Powerful! Thank you so much for posting this.

  • Elder Holland always hit's it out of hte ball park, he is an amazing speaker. I loved this video, perfectly done. Great message.

  • The best video I have seen on u tube. It was straight forward and showed the sacrifice that Jesus suffered at the hands of unjust men. He truly knows our pain. He also knows perfect love. This video gives hope to me and helps me to find compassion within myself

  • I had the extreme pleasure of singing for Elder Holland and hearing him speak while he was here in Orlando.

He truly is an Apostle living in our times, with all that this title bears with it.

May we all strive to live like Christ That we may stand with Christ at the last day.

    Amen

  • Our Savior and our God, we owe never ending admiration and praise

  • The church of Jesus Christ is TRUE!!!!!!

  • One of the most beautiful messages that I have heard about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mormons thank you for this wonderful opportunity to learn more about the sacrifice of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus!.

  • What more can be said than what he already has told us through his loving testimony.

  • This was amazing to watch and listen to. Thank you!

  • I'm speechless. What can you say when one so perfect, gives his precious life to save one so imperfect as me. Thank you for this reminder. Such a worthy thing to see on Youtube.

  • I am about to leave on my mission and of all the contradictions ive heard and all the doubts i have had and all the temptations, this is what makes all of that worth going through

  • lacross - I truly envy you for the incredible opportunity you have to spend 2 years preaching Christ and serving him. A small way to repay for all he has done for us. It was 18 months of my life well spent and that I wouldn't change for anything in the world and hope to do again. God Bless.

  • I am in the process of putting in my paper work as well.

I know what you mean by the doubts and temptations; but when you go to church or listen to the words of the apostles and prophets of God and feel the spirit, that is when you know that what you are doing is right and that the church is true.

  • Praise be to our God. Worthy is the Lamb.

  • I'm so grateful for my Savior and his sacrifice on the cross and in the garden. What a great message for this Easter season. The tomb and death really were conquered!

  • i beleive this is one of the most amazing things i have ever seen

  • I loved this message. Elder Holland's talks always speak to me. And this one touched me so much. Thank you for puting this on here.

  • Such a great message from such a great man, Im so thankful that we have prophets and apostles living on the earth today.

  • Amazing how powerful the testimony of an apostle can be.

  • i love these videos especially on sudays pl put more.

  • Isn't it wonderful that we have a source to help us through our times of trouble. He is the only way through which we can find peace and happiness.

  • Such a good and uplifting video. Its to bad some of us (myself included sometimes) cant just enjoy the sweet spirit that it brings and have to try and "prove our point." Send it to anyone who may need an emotional/spiritual need and lets just enjoy it. :)

  • It is amazing to know that God sent His Son to die for us, to watch Him suffer the way He did. Utterly amazing.

  • I will not understand why some have the odacity to say Latter Day Saints are concidered not christians . they are VERY MUCH CHRISTIANS

  • The Lord has done so much for me throughout my life, I can not deny the power of His atonement. He has been there for me when I have needed Him most and He is still there for anyone who wants to come closer to Him. He loves us and that is why He gave His life for us, not just for Latter Day Saints, but for everyone on this Earth, it makes no difference to him, He loves us all, come to Him and get to know Him to find out who you really are and what you are here to do.You don't have to do it alone

  • Oh This Was my Favourite Talk at the conference.. man everyone around me was tearing up!

    LDS rep

Called to serve June 9th 2009

    Phillippines here i come!!

  • I KNOW that Jesus is the Chirst and I know that there are modern apostles and a living prophet on the earth. I KNOW its ture

  • This is my favotie video. I know that jesus lives and that he will come again to show him self unto us. I know that for a fact and that Elder Holland is a true apostle of the lord jesus christ.

  • I've watched this over and over. It touches me every time.

    Simply wonderful.

  • explain this......

    JOHN 20 : 17

Jesus said to her, Do not cling to Me , for I have not yet ascended to the Father.

But go to My brethren and tell them,

I am ascending to My Father and your Father,

and to MY GOD and your God.

who is MY GOD said by Jesus....??

  • That same God who created us all, He is the Supreme Father of us all. Jesus is his son. Jesus came down to do God's will. They are TWO separate beings, and that is why Jesus refers to him as His God.

  • here is referring to what he said I am ascending to my father saying it is everyones God and he is everyones father.

  • This is Jesus' Father in Heaven who is also our Heavenly Father.

  • This is what's mean't when Jesus calls unto his God, who he loves more greatly than anyone can comprehend, as he loves us.

  • This is a very good reminder to all. Not just Christian's or Latter Day Saints, but to EVERYONE.

Jesus Christ was no ordinary man. He was not fiction. He was not just a nice man doing nice things. He is our Savior and our Lord and Redeemer.

  • What an amazing prophet! This is truly a great talk. The images just magnify the spirit that I felt while listening to him on Conference day.

  • If we are not Christian, then we wouldn't understand it at all. But, we do understand it because we ARE Christian.

  • Oh, it's very specifically Mormon related. I would expect nothing less from the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints.

  • Most inspiring and very impressionable, Elder Holland. Best thing I've seen from LDS since seeing The Lamb of God. Just keeping an eye on the youth in the area, lots of Mormon churches in the Mojave's Antelope Valley. Peace be with you, Shalom.
