I believe Kyokushin exaggerate their movements to emphasise power where as Goju Ryu and Goju Kai place emphasis on speed and efficiency of movement. Although this is only my opinion and i may be wrong.
@Totenkopf70 As a Kyokushin practitioner, My sensei always tell us to use emphasis on speed along with Zanshin (awareness), timing then power with the strikes.....Some videos of other Karate styles exaggerate in movement which is not good.....But,....In the end, were only human.
i notice some diffrence between gujukai and kyokushin karate. they both do ibuki,but sounds diffrent and when gojukai doing mawashi uke,he makes small circles,kyokushin makes big circles.
Okinawan goju is better yamaguchi really wasnt that good he messd up katas and made them all wired -i mena think about it they wer form japan to okinawa yea yamaguchi didnt have anyone to ask if anything was wrong --i mean he couldnt call him --well this is a bad interpitation of goju -
if anyone can translate, could you please post? I wonder if this is the Goju Kai master doing a demonstration, or a man that looks similar. Im practicing Kata Sanchin currently, and seeing a Dan belt demonstrate is quite helpful.

there may be only one headmaster so to speak. but there is more than one master...otherwise i'd say it's not a very good organization...which is not the case with goju kai so...there is more than one master.
@KoRnBadass this guy (if it is actually yamaguchi) is ranked saiko shihan which translantes to top master. he is the highest ranked belt in goju kai and isnt even the highest grade yet. his dad was. we have many many masters anyone with the title shihan or hanshi is a master.

i am 16 and a brown belt with 3 red tags and now i have to do the senior grading, which means that i will have the senior black belt.
i will have to do this in one or two of my upcoming gradings.

I must agree this is a excellent video. It does look like "Head Master" Of Goju-Kai "Goshi Yamaguchi" Is the demonstrator.
