  • wtf??!

  • reely clever

  • Thanks!!

  • jeahr cool i understand ALL ;D

    Nice work .

2 Motors are conected togather right?

  • right!!

  • Those linear gears are called "gear rack"

    Why did u get them?

AFAIK such abandunt no. of gear rack can only be found in "Education Resource Kit"

  • For the history, the black one is a "Technic Gear Rack 1 x 8 with Holes" (part 6630) while the grey is a "Technic Gear Rack 1 x 10 with Holes) (part 6592).

You can find the 6592 in 14 different LEGO sets. Mine are form the Chopper Force (8232, rel 1997) and the Racing Truck (5562, rel 1999). The 6630 was included in 30 different LEGO sets (the one I have is from the Vladek's Dark Fortress set 8877, rel 2005).

  • does the NXT come with those gears and pieces with teeth? o.O NXT 2.0 dont have those =(

  • Actually no ...most gearing elements are from other sets.

    NeXTSTORM

  • oh ok. you mean they are sold pieces by pieces or its a box set?

  • Where do you get the teeth gear thing where it is flat

  • it is an old pice

  • NICE dance machine

  • Thanks alluu11! NeXTSTORM

  • I'm having the most problems with the track that it slides on. I just dont have enough pieces, so I'm trying to adapt it to what I have. If you can you should make some instructional videos on how it was made and how it works.

  • At my personal site, as well as at the official LEGO Mindstorms NXTLOG (search for NeXTSTORM) you'll find a detailed LDD instruction file. Just note at the time this LDD was made some elements were not yet included in the LDD library. Thus, compare what you'll find with the photos.

  • Consider also that you'll need some Technic, Gear Racks 1 x 4 (part number 3743). NeXTSTORM

  • Thanks! I'm going to find your instructions now!

  • sorry, I don't think I'll be able to make it. I just don't have many technique pieces. I understand how it works and how to make it but it is really hard to get around the limitations.

  • :-(

  • I'm thinking of making a version of this.

  • I'll be glad to see it!!!! This is one of my favorite "machines". The most "tricky" part is the automated switching module (located on top) that changes the active gearing set by gravity force. NeXTSTORM

  • I have seen your 100m race project on NXTlog and then the movie here. Its really cool!

  • Thanks again!

  • lol (and you used iweb, i think...)

    PS: i love mac

  • you use mac dont you? i use mac too!

  • you're 100% correct!

  • much more interesting project ... excellent

  • Thank you bazmarc!

  • I checked your site and is really perfect! 5 out of 5!!!!
