Okay guys - I've done this myself, thumb this shit up.. to get 16:9 the easy way on Widnows 7 or vista. go head towards the windows home button (The start button) on your desktop - the one that opens the menu. Type in this EXACTLY without (") "%Appdata% You will find MY battle for middle earth 2 files, open up the options file and set it to your native format, mine is 1920 1080.. this will make it playable in 16:9!

@simo373737 Yes. You gather resources and build stuff. It's a real-time strategy. Much like command and conquer.

I have the same question as djaism. How do you make it to 1920x1080 or even 1920x1200? I tweaked the .ini file but didn't seem to notice the difference between that and the highest res in game (1600x1200)???

@Q36BN You'll need to be a little more informative, you are in possession of one of the few Battle for middle earth 2 videos at 16:9 - I'd personally like to let's play this in a video, but I have to have it at 16:9, the links you provided do not work at all. and the Ini file doesn't seem to exist for me.

guys, this game is quite old now.

It doesn't have high system requirements

If you read the description, it says i can play this game quite smoothly on ati HD4650 at 1920x1080. This GC was one of the cheapest when i bought it.

this game is old it probably doesn't benefit any of the newer hardware like multiple cores

Acer, so you got the notebook...

If so, then yes, it might be because of the graphic card. Probably integrated intel graphic. Those graphics are really slow...

Just a quick check... Did you set your settings on low?

As i said in description, my Graphic Card is Radeon HD4650 (and its not fast GC), but this game is running quite good on it; Although, there are slow-downs sometimes.

ohh,

and using "BFME2 Widescreen Enhanced"

is another reason why the gameplay is slower. You are seeing much more of the map and units, and so the graphic card must calculate those additional things

Thanks a lot. Awesome game but hated playing with the edges cut off and everything looking terrible. Made me wanna play this game again!
