  • pressing 9 is better than 3

  • I just started jj, but isn't that like a reverse anaconda choke

  • Keep pressing "3"

  • lol the arse.. haha xD ASSS

  • it looks like he can pop his head out towards the north south position, i know im only been doing jujitsu for 18 months, but cant he pop out and spin towards u and take you down? im asking because side control is my favorite position.

  • expert village has really turned to shit

  • I learned how to fight on expert village.. thanks guys!

  • That's not a D'arce, It's an Anaconda/Reverse anaconda..

  • @ScareGilly - a darce actually is a "reverse anaconda"...this is just another way to set it up. Charlie rolls all the way through to his side, but he can also finish it from north/south with his hips down (the north/south choke as many people know it, is just an upside down darce choke if you consider the hand placement and body mechanics.

  • @mbessette22 No, with a D'arce you don't choke using your bicep, you use the blade of your forearm, that's why this is an anaconda, not a D'arce.

  • @ScareGilly look how it is being finished...its a darce, slick

  • @mbessette22 Umm... No, he's choking him using the other man's arm and his bicep.. Not the other man's arm and the blade of his forearm..

  • The-arse choke, lol jk

  • Arce Choke/Strangle

  • nice.. fuckin cant see it. lol

  • "d'arce" is pronounced "darce." it's a person's name.

    |the kid|

  • the guy with the green shirt is defenitly thinking what the fuck are u doing

  • Nice set up , but that's more of a reverse anaconda choke !!!! The d'arce puts the knife of the forearm against the neck but the anaconda puts the bicep against the neck ! Still very nice !!!!!

  • yeah, that's a nek crank, not a choke.

  • Funny thing about this choke, you're just as likely to get the tap from cranking the shoulder as you are from the choke itself. It's all kinds of uncomfortable in there.

  • This is pretty typical of expert village. so far they're batting a 1,000 on having people explain shit allllll wrong. this isn't a D'arce choke , it looks like some upside down anaconda choke, which looks like it would work, but i really think these video's are all about this guy thinking it is reallly reallly cool to make a video where he can say "dee are cee" as many times as he can while in the clip.

  • looks more like a modified gator roll... interesting...

  • Joe D'Arce actually pronounces his name Dee-R-cee, so he's saying it correctly.

In terms of the name having French origins though, he's wrong, and it should be pronounced darce.

  • haha i thought it was called the darth choke.

  • this stuff is hard and konfusin :(

  • you mean [dar s]

  • Deearseeh or D' Arce as in "day arc?"

  • Deearseee ? wtf... I think this guy watches youtube videos on Jits then recreates them in his own videos..

  • @edwards86 ,

Dude I think your right. This guys a fuckin joke.

Im pretty positive he just watches videos online. That matt is probably a cheap ass one in his living room, hahaha

  • "Dee-are-see"?????? Joe D'arce would be pissed

  • haha ya lmao

  • That's actually how you pronounce his name.

  • @getthetapjj where the hell is the guy from italy or some shit? weird ass name!

  • @getthetapjj thats how you say joes last name retard

  • that looks cool, but its different when your actually down their wrestling, you obviously dont have the same control the chance of you getting away with that move is slim

  • Totally. I'd rather just wait for the Kimura, arm bar, or top mount than risk losing my position on this sort of move. Still, it's probably good on the street where people don't know what their doin' on the ground.

  • Comment removed

  • search submissions 101 for some more great videos.

  • u dont have to have 6pack to be a good fighter, yust look at fedor,he is a fucking killing machine

  • same with BJ penn...he's kinda chubby...but it doesn't show how fit he is, the guy is just incredibly fit...but GSP is the man haha

  • Does anyone know some simple moves that are effective? i know the arm bar ( kinda complicated ) but i made my friend tap out twice from it, I know the thing were you grab his arm and you throw him on the floor with ur back kinda cool and easy . Any moves like that?

  • Guillotine is hella easy if your opponent rushes. Also maybe try triangle. Not THAT easy, but its possible. Ive made a guy tap from both.

  • arm triangles aren't that hard, it just takes a little time to plan it out. arm bars are by far my favorite though, simple and effective. baseball bat chokes from mount are VERY easy so look those up

  • yeah except baseball bat choke involves grabbing their lapels which you cant do in mma

  • Look up the Toe hold which was used in Pancration, Heel Hook, Triangle choke, Kimura from side control.

  • arm triangles, rear naked choke, americana,

most submissions are simple and effective. its all in the set-up of the submissions. good set up can make the submission really easy to pull off

  • This guy isn't fat at all. He's thick. Look at BJ Penn. He doesn't have a ripped body like Georges St Pierre, but he could kill any of you in seconds flat.

  • nice move im a bigger guy also, im gonna try this ty for posting,

  • jaggafeen: "so fat he has to roll on his side lol"

The beuty of martial arts is that u doesnt have to be the perfect athlete to pull it off...and i can assure u that a beer bellied martial artist is far more deadly than a 6-pack dude without fighting experience...

  • this is very true. beer bellied jiu jitsu guy vs 6 pack ignorant guy, the fat man will definately win.

  • so fat he has to roll on his side lol

  • bet he'll smack you retarded

  • LOL!! ye he doesnt pronounce it properly.

  • dee-are-see ?

  • yeah, most of this techniques are not used...iv'e sseen a couple of new fighters using them but not that often...

  • I don't know why more guys don't go for this in the ufc, it's wide open when most guys get side control and almost nobody ever goes for it. I saw rich crunkilton use it against mike joy and that was the only time anybody to my knowledge has ever gone for it. Very effective but extremely underutilized technique. I submitted somebody with it once in a fight and I always look for it.

  • I don't doubt it could be used and it's great to add anything to your arsenal, but, during that spot where you grab your leg, at that point you are VERY vulnerable to being rolled over and missing the hold. On top of it if you trap someones arm like that you can just beat their face with some elbows and that's more fun

  • cause the defender usually just rolls threw with it

  • kendall grove won with one
