Thats funny...you use diesel generators to power Greenhouses...isnt that a contradiction? Not that I have anything against Diesel Engines, but Shouldnt you be using solar panels?
@scott93257 can solar panels give same amount of electricity? especially in winter when its low sun light intensity and temperatures are very low, thats when back-up power is most essential.
the problem is everybody talks of renewable energy and all that stuff, but more often its far from reality and more like sci-fiction by issac assimov, renewable energy source are need of day there is no ambiguity, but pragmatic approach is also needed.

@sleemanandhawken I will.Thanks. We help people save on their fuel & oil changers are 40,000 hours of use, before changing the oil, as the carbon is burnt in the firedeck, rather than dropping as lava like rock, into your oil. This, what we have, is a combustion chamber catalyst! Exclusive to independent agents, like me!
By flippy i'm assumin you mean the rain caps? That is far from a muffler bud, it's just a rain cap, you'd put pails or bags overtop of it if it wasn't running alot and didn't have a rain cap.
We have several of these at where we work...Some 4cyl Kohlers, and we also have a couple of inline six turbo ones. They power HUGE amounts of buildings and equipment.
Hurray I know John Deere the only thingsI have seen in the last two years is every thing but a big diesel JD Generator ! my Uncle had two, one for the house and the other for the farm both in the same building ( the Power Room ) about 100 ft away from the house in the 1960s... Now Both the farm and the house are three story CONDOS
Ok. I see. Well, it's not for sale. I think it has almost 200 hours. Location: Jaeger Greenhouses. Serial: not sure, I'd have to look it up. Weight: I don't know, but a lot! Year of manufacturing: 1993. Generator Manufacturer: Kohler.
Diesel anything is good in my book! This remindes me to by a diesel generator! So thanks! Usually Michigan gets 1-3 storms that are powerfully enough to knock out power for a day or so and while thats not long its a bitch with the humidity!
I love diesel exhaust... it smells so awesome

dieselfanaticIN 2 years ago 2
