@Williamwallace0 Maybe he turned it on remotely with a remote. My Logitech doesn't turn on a bar. Definitely gonna have to try the heatgun. Attempted just putting new thermal compound on but no luck. Sorta doubted it would work in the first place as the console started red-ringing and does nothing now.
Appearantly you dont know how reflow works. Hot air on a motherboard doesnt warp the board. How do you think they got all of the components on that board in the first place? THat's right... a 400 degree pool of solder.
Ahh. yes, the actual xclamp will. And after looking at the video, it's not even a heat gun... I just noticed that... I usually shun people who say this but *FAKE*. lol
Tried it and it worked, high heat for 3 min circular motion and tada my xbox for the first time in 4 days fired right up and logged into live. (no this fix can't be seen by live, it's when you change hw that they see.)
My only prob is the 3 lights is coming back after about 24-48 hours. I followed the directions, but I think the GPU and CPU need some kind of support to prevent their dislogdement from the lousey "X" bracket design
I did this a long time ago, and I got it to turn on, then 2 RROD. it does it all the time. how do you fix that?

epic fail! you don't even know what a heat gun looks like!
by the way, lead free solder starts to flow easily around 660F. i agree with 400 degrees, as long as its 400C...
ssbattaglia 2 years ago
its actually more like 370 to 450°F

BnSXGrunti 3 years ago
haha never do that, its the worse "repair". its not even a repair, it screws and warps your motherboard even more!

i know that.
well it only warps the board when its screwed down with the xclamps and in the shell. go look up tutorials.

did i forget to mention what kind of a lamp goes at 400oC?
itll go probably 200oC.
A haridryer does not work. So your saying a lamp can? Not even. That why it requires a heatgun!
