I don't think of del any differently in this episode. It just shows how both characters act within a different class of people. Del trying to fit in and rodney keeping quiet. Del has always tried to be something more then what he actually is.

Mr Sullivan was a comedy genius and so much more innovative than the tedious Footlights standard which contemporary UK comedy writing is dominated by. I think we need a bit of a break from this over hyped crap.

I really don't like this episode. Del is unbearable for most of it and I didn't get the impression that his actions were deliberate. He was just an arsehole. The scene in the opera house is dreadful when he's eating crisps and ice cream, etc, and throwing stuff on the floor. Nearly as bad as the dinner scene when he's asking if the glasses are Ravenhead. Del might not be the most sophisticated man but he wouldn't say anything that stupid.

I read somewhere that this and two after ( or before) episode not make by John Sullivan cause he was at the hospital, have some healt problems and someone else make this three episodes incuding this one... some people notice Del Boy behavior was not even funny... However, just 10% people notice the diferents... :)
