@dkangel8989 The only real straights are at the start. Otherwise it's 90% Sweepers, some nice Unusual scenery and the twisties on this run from 6.00 on. The problem is, the fisheye type wideangle lens tends to straighten out the bends making them look less extreme than they are in real life.
@dkangel8989 I've got some awesome twisty stuff to edit and upload. One I'll call "The Goat Track" the other "Life's Pretty Straight Without Twisties". Be a couple of weeks before I get them up so please keep an eye on my channel for them. I think they might rival the dragon's tale ride, but I could be bias :)
@TheAvengingFate Thank you. Have you tried spraying something like WD40 onto areas prone to rust to help keep the water at bay? I try to choose music that matches the footage, so the music helps create a theme/mood to go with the footage.
Now THAT is one of the main reasons why i got my license again! hope ill find a road like that around the adelaide area ;) Just got myself a 2005 gs500. looks like it handled itself well! that makes me even happier!!
@budgybottom75 Congratulations on a getting yourself the best kept secret in the motorcycle world! The GS500 handles twisties with ease. You're going to have a blast on it. Enjoy :)
I was searching for videos of the GS500 in action and here it is I ran into this cool song. I normally prefer to hear the engine and other sounds, but this tune got my attention. It took a bit of searching to find the exact version. For those who want to know it's "The Sound of Violence (Club Mix)" by Cassius.
@daewootango Yep, Sound of Violence by Cassius, as I have written in the credits. :) The other song is by an Australian band, the same band who sang the famous 80s tune "What About Me" - this is their Other hit that no-one remembers until they hear it.
@michaelrossonline : I actually never got much further than Cassius, it was so captivating! But I had a really hard time finding the exact version that you used, hence the decision to help others out by posting as well. Great video, great song.
@BarryEssex I'd have to say I agree with you. With such large underpopulated landmass the air stays clean and we see the sky in its more real colors. And in this state, we have many cloudless days.
@jerryboy219 A lot of people feel that way when they come from a "right hand side of the road" place. Just think of it as a one way dual lane road and you're fine :)
@kawboyCAFE The road leading up to this cafe is a nice run, and the part shown is nice too - just take it easy and don'tr race on it and it's fun. This road was closed for a while after the floods hit the area and damaged one of the bridges in the video. It's open for traffic now though and I hope to ride it again soon.
@SamuraiGambit It's a lovely bit of road. A tad bumpy in places but otherwise enjoyable to ride. And yes, this was on a weekend. Even a week day doesn't see much traffic on the road.
Great vid, great music, great bike. Cheers :)

Over here in England we love the GS500 but our crap weather makes them rust quick :(

This looks like the Hwy to Cooma out of Canberra but then I saw the cliffs next to the road. Where is this?
scottclements78 5 months ago
@scottclements78 This is in South East Qld. It is the same road in which the "Honda 919 - The Crash" video was shot.

@lilrider100 Watch the speedometer it's in K/ph due to his location. 100 Kph is around 60mph so gauge off that.
cssuggs89 10 months ago
@lilrider100 What cssuggs89 said. 80kph is 50mph, 100kph is 62mph and 120kph is 75mph
