  • It is truely amazing how Mexico blames the US for its issues. You fly the mexican flag in Juarez like it is a resort or a place very special but in reality you live in a 3rd world country run by people who have ties in the drug cartels and then tell the US it's our fault becuase some do drugs. Just a question or two: Why is it that the mexican cartels are killing mexican people??? Why is Juarez the most violent city in the world??? Your government is allowing this to happen!! FAIL MEXICO

  • Back a few years before this report we used to cross to JTown to party lol... now its not such a good idea... to much crap going on with the cartel

  • LA GENTE EN EL PASO Y JUAREZ SE RESPETAN ENTRE SI,,Y LAS POLITIKAS MIGRATORIAS SON OTRA COSA...

  • @marlenderendon NO DIGAS ESTUPIDECES LA GENTE DE EL PASO NO QUIERE ALA DE JUAREZ PARA NADA PREGUNTALE A UN AMERICANO BLANCO QUE PIENSA Y TE DARAS CUENTA QUE NO AL CONTRARIO LA GENTE DE EL PASO ES UNA DE LAS MAS CONSERVADORAS DE EL PAIS REPUBLICANA POR LO TANTO ACUERDATE QUE ES PARTE DE TEXAS NO SE TE OLVIDE

  • Now this man is trying to do things the right way. He should get his citizenship.

  • i still think that the el paso county jailer who lived in juarez was not only targeted bc his wife worked at the embassy in juarez but bc of either a) incident within the el paso metro with a gang member in jail either by comments by jailer or actions to the inmate or b) drug involvement

  • Bull shit, anyone that lives in El Paso or Juarez knows that has had no real bearing in the relationship. Hell, I've gone between the cities more while the whole thing was going at it's strongest and trust me, the place still gets packed and it can take a while just to get from a city to another. This is just silly left/right team political bullshit; as usual. Neither side can go a day without their petty locker room gossip crap.

  • @TheLivingHermit1 I wish I could say the same, but I can't. It has weakened the relationship between both cities. Ask anyone living in El Paso if they would cross to my hometown Juarez, and most people's reaction will be "no way!". Now I'm not saying everyone will do that, but most will, and it's not anyone's fault but the cartels, and both governments, as always. Mexico and the US have really great people, places, tradition, culture, it's just that we are run by idiots! God bless democracy!!...

  • There are many good people in Jtown. The warmest hearted people I have ever met. I feel for their struggle against corruption and organized crime. I work there a few weeks out of the year and the border crossing sucks. I hope one day it goes back to being a safe and fun city. I hope my friends stay safe.

  • let's invade...we're americans.get r done

  • Your comment shows nothing but your own ignorance and racism. Nationalism over humanitarianism is a horrible thing. I sincerely hope you were joking.

  • Soy de Brasil y me encanta el México más Juárez fue la última ciudad que nunca quiso entrar en la violencia contra las mujeres son muchas y todo se vuelve a castigar a poque no hay justicia.

  • Gringos want to divide Mexico and Mexicans, that's why they are terrorizing Mexican cites.

Because narcotraffic is a global issue, but only in Mexico is narco violence since the American war on Mexico started in 2007.

    Obama: STOP terrorism in MEXICO!

  • @DonAlebrije "Obama; Stop terrorism in Mexico" Thats your problem. Why don't you fix your own jacked up government and corrupt police? It's not Americans killing thousands of Mexicans in Juarez every year..it's Mexicans. It took American over 200 years and millions of lives, to finally achieve the free government and rights we have that everyone sneaks over here to take advantage of. Mexico needs to grow some balls, and boldly fight against injustice, no matter what the cost or how long it takes

  • i live there!

  • The people of Mexico need to revolt against their own government, they have provided nothing for them. They should instill their own ruler, one who cannot be bought, and can provide opportunity for them in Mexico.

  • The true answer to fix Mexico lies in Bill Gates vast wealth! Bill Gates needs to donate to Mexico, period!

  • @rudypoodoo Bill Gates is not the richest man in the world. The richest man is the CEO of TelMex. If you want the War on Drugs to finally end, get the consumers to give up on the actually harmful drugs and have marijuana be researched better and become a medicinal medicine and products that are used for other things. With little demand for drugs, the supply will increase but prices per ounce will drop. Before you know it, the cartels won't have enough for power and people. It's basic economics.

  • true Mexico could be as rich as the US but the Mexican government fucking SUCKS. its a fact.

  • @AlexPanacro That's true, but there is a policy that is truly destroying Mexico more than anything: North America Free-Trade Agreement (NAFTA). This makes many things free from tariffs or taxes between Canada, USA, and Mexico. So that means sections of Mexico will be underdeveloped, people will flock to Northern Mexico to get jobs that are already filled while cities are unable to deal with high increase in population. You can see an example by looking at Juarez from El Paso's side of the Rio.

  • im a usa citizen... i live in juarez because my parents are mexicans (H) i drive everyday to school in el paso....

    and is so boring... hahaha

i believe people living in el paso overeact and think that if they croos the border someone will kill them...is not true T___T

    haha juarez is great =]

i prefer being driving all day than living in el paso iukkk

  • I would appreciate Mexicans more if I didn't have to think about them having too many children, fleeing here and using all our social resources for LEGAL hardworking citizens, then driving around in luxury cars with wallets full of cash and sending half of their illegally obtained money back to Mexico where it goes right into the hands of the drug lords. What happens to a Mexican when they get pulled over here? LET GO.. too much trouble to process the paperwork

  • Being rich does not mean being better. Resources? resources don't make a country rich

    example Japan.

Mexico is wealthy but not in a way part of the world see it. We have strong family relations We work hard for our families. We are proud of what we are. We like to think.

quote :"for protecting our country from terrorism" ....Yeah Sure

  • I have crossed these bridges. Lived in El Paso for 6 years. Juarez is like stepping back into the 1970s.

There is NO excuse for this. Mexico has sooo many resources that they should be as rich as the US but it isn't. Why? Why? Why?

My Latino friends tell me it is corruption.

So fix the damn corruption. Get your country rich. Don't be the weakest link in the chain.

When Mexico is a wealthy country like the US there will be no border patrol etc. Fix Mexico don't leave it.

  • Man.. Juarez is seriously scaring me. My mom's friend whom is born in Juarez is not even going there cuz it's too scary. Eek. I'm worried abt Juarez. A teen girl who was visiting was recently shot and killed there. creepy. I'm never gonna go there now.

  • you guys in the usa could stop consuming drugs like crazy.... that would help a lot....

  • you guys in the usa could stop consuming drugs like crazy... that would help a lot....

  • @juarezlegitimo Wow, people actually think the US is responsible for Mexico's drug problem? No wonder nothing ever gets fixed! Really people, when you let some politician convince you who it is to blame, at least make sure if they're not quoting Hollywood movies... (Scarface)

  • @juarezlegitimo I agree totally.

  • @juarezlegitimo No, probably legalizing certain things would help both sides

  • It's not so bad. I used to live in Juarez too. When i used to cross to El Paso, sometimes the boarder man didn't even ask to see my passport. I'm British by the way! Maybe i look American? Great being me :D

  • My heart is still in Juarez. Te quiero.

  • This war started a long time ago. It's drawing blood now because the right people gave a damn. I applaud any leader and their people who are risk life to claim what is theirs. And USCs are allowed to live here, but they don't have to. DHS doesn't make USCs (adults) live with their families in a foreign country. Down with LULAC! ACLU!God Bless the USBP, USCG,CBP, DEA, ATF, EPPD for protecting our country from terrorism (Cartels and others) and those who have committed unlawful entry.

  • So what...stay in Mexico...

  • Boy, this hit home. I was in El Paso in '06 and every time I looked into Juarez I would get a feeling of foreboding and unease. I hope things change for the better, it;s a neat and historic place.

  • Bullshit. The problem is the unchecked violence and lawlessness on the Mexican side, and the erroneous notion Mexico has that the U.S. has an obligation to serve as a receptacle for all those Mexicans who for whatever reason think they are entitled to just come in and settle the land, as was the case during the early 1800's. I don't understand why people can't comprehend the concept of American sovereignty, and that the U.S. also has an obligation to protect its borders and its people.

  • Time has change Juarez used to be a safe place for anyone, Turism was good, even mexicans americans are not seen as an ameri-

can, the image of a mex/american will be a cholo(gang member)or a looser. When there are alot of stories to tell, for our gene-rations to be proud, we have contributed in many positives ways, our man in uniform have die for this contry and still the image has not change don't get the credit, read this books unstrike & unfilm,ON video los mineros, salt of the earth.

  • I think Juarez had a lot of really cool things before all this violence started. I used to like going to restaurants there, theater, concerts, nightclubs, etc. The people were friendly and everything was cheap. But now it has turned into a nightmare full of crazy killers who don't care about life anymore. So I moved to El Paso and soon I will probably move to Houston or Austin. I miss it though, have great memories that I will never forget.

  • I think you are generalizing....people in Juarez is still friendly, and they are as afraid as you may be.

  • I wonder if between those murderes, you know, can some of them be from El Paso that cross to make their crimes and then go back peacefully?

I wonder if that will EVER be considered and work in. People just target the violence one side, but as said, this cities used to be very connected.

I just think that a "turning back" approach and a wall is not going to avoid nor help the situation in neither side of the borders.

  • Whats the big deal? Both places suck!

  • Life is what you make of it...so if you think it sucks then what does that say about your life? Sure it isn't the BEST place in the world, but there is plenty to do if you get off the computer and go look.

  • @KirbyPwnz13 Ha ha! Amen to that! Before all the crazy Violence in Juarez, I couldn't tell the difference between the two cities! I've been stuck here (military) for nine years since moving from Germany and i still never feel like I'm in America until go out of town! I can't tell you how many times I've said "Mexico" when I meant to say "El Paso". ha ha!

  • @ennoidyam fancy that, i moved from germany to el paso and was wondering where america went, then i joined the army and came right back to germany. el paso had potential but theres way too many problems. im glad i left and vow to never live there again

  • @ennoidyam SI NACISTE EN EL PASO POR QUE TUS PADRES ILEGALES FUERONA TRARTE OMO RATA AL PASO PERO NTP YA SE ESTA HACIENDO UNA LEY PARA QUITAR LA CIUDADANIA A HIJOS DE ILEGALES COMO TU

  • my home town baby

  • a very good piece. Stories like these we all should pay attention too. Good Work

  • war on terror has nothing to do with it now....facking cartels..more than 800 murders/deaths this year...why would I go to Jaurez??

  • VIVA LA JUAREZ!!!

  • man, juarez now is dangerous i rather stay here in the U.S

  • viva mexico raid america or DIE!!!

  • Seems to me that you all have your own problems right now. Mexico can't even control security in their own country what makes you think they have any resource to start a war against the U.S.? Your dreaming kid.
