A look at Susan Cheever's goals as a writer, and why she wrote a bio of Alcott. Maybe Simon & Schuster was pumping the book by putting it up here, but Cheever is always worth reading and, it seems, worth listening to as well. An ad, I suppose, but Cheever rises above that. An interesting, short view of a writer's aims who deserves the praise her work has earned.
