stop being so ignorant, the online gameplay depends on the game itself; some games support full online other only support local multiplayer.

The "Ad-hoc party" app turns local multiplayer into online multiplayer.

well Ad-hoc is like local no online so at least sony found a way to make local multiplayer games online and even use your mic unlike the DS where if you have a local game where you have to be in the same room inorder to play if theres no online

i think you all got it wrong, some game like MH for psp only has ad-hoc, the only way you can play is by sitting next to the person, but with this you, use your ps3 as an ad-hoc hotspot kind of and play it via-internet, without sitting right next to the person, plus it had the chat system on it.

Probably more about latency than speed, as can be seen by games like Counter-Strike 1.6 back before the ADSL2 days (in AU anyways). As long as the netcode is efficient the games are playable. Japan is basically one giant LAN anyway so they will be fine. It's when us poor Aussies get stuck playing ad-hoc online races with people in other countries that gaming suffers immensely. *cough* GT5:P *cough*

The Bluetooth headset is connected to the PS3, not the PSP.
