I appreciate your input. I had the Zi8 volume on 0. But I have learned that by increasing the gain on the H2, as you pointed out, I get a cleaner sound. Thanks!

You are depending on the gain of the Zi8 too much go with a higher mic gain on the H2 so it wont be so noisy.
