Vyjayantimala is an excellent singer. She sang at the Filmfare function under the baton of Shanker Jaikishen ( Jao jao Nandi ke lala and Aa aa abhija )and floored everybody present. She is indeed a multi- faceted personality.

Vijayantimala wasdecidedly a most accomplished artiste and like most South Indian dancers had also received musical training - as is obvious not only by the way she takes Lata's playback but also by the way her hands move on the sitar - due no doubt to the fact that she had learned to play the vina. The only false note (for those who are aware) is her finger movement on the flute...

Vijayanthimala was a good, trained, classical singer too, did you know ? I had an old record of her singing two telugu songs beautifully . She  was versatile !
