The rankings for my money, are more or less accurate at the moment. Unreasonably closebetween the top 2. bit of a gap...Aussies...another gap. Ireland, Argies, France. pretty accurate maybe a bit of jostling to be done.

England, as in the CURRENT team, not the 03 world cup team, are quite a poor side. Of the last 25 6 nations games they have played they have won 14 (or 56%). Before that it was a different(& better) team.
The 07 RWC was well fought but they lost and TBF the England performance was competent but in addition, France and the Aussies were shocking. I hope the rebuilding goes well but at the moment other teams, with few exceptions, EXPECT to beat England and often, arent disappointed.

I fully admit England did used to be a force to be reckoned with. How many years would you recommend going back before the teams that we see today no longer have relevance to the ones that produced those results?
The try count shows precisely how many forwards based pushover tries you guys have managed from 5 metres out. This used to win games, now it only works against the smaller teams.

I chose the timeframe to takes into account the earliest when the bulk players of the 2 current sides have had the games. You're only as good as your last match. I don't measure our success by beating england, that's the original point I made to Norcs.
I have NO problem with england or theirans. They were the only ones who travelled to Ireland in the mid 70s troubles when the scots and the welsh didn't travel. They got a 15 minute standing ovation for turning up. They deserved it.
England tend to always rely on 1 player. Without their key player, they suck. In rugby it was Wilko, In cricket it was Flintoff and then Pieterson. Without those players they just cant perform. With us, you take our key player out and we have 3 more to fill his boots

To be honest, in rugby, the dirty players are usually very good players, because they intimidate the other team, and build confidence within their own teams. It's like when a fly half has the ball, he may pass it or kick it, but sometimes the flanker will still smash the fly half because he wants the fly half to be afraid, and therefore ruin his game. So, when someone says "he is one of the dirtiest players in rugby" it could be a good thing. It's always good to have a dirty player on your team.

Ireland have a bit of a dodgy record against the pumas, there's always a bit of handbags going on but they're a great laugh when they're visiting. I reckon they'll take 2 matches in their first season and maybe climb from there. It can only be a good thing from rugbys point of view although it did give me a decent excuse to visit Buenos Aires. England, as in the CURRENT team, not the 03 world cup team, are quite a poor side. Of the last 25 6 nations games they have played they have won 14 (or 56%). Before that it was a different(& better) team.
The 07 RWC was well fought but they lost and TBF the England performance was competent but in addition, France and the Aussies were shocking. I hope the rebuilding goes well but at the moment other teams, with few exceptions, EXPECT to beat England and often, arent disappointed.

I fully admit England did used to be a force to be reckoned with. How many years would you recommend going back before the teams that we see today no longer have relevance to the ones that produced those results?
The try count shows precisely how many forwards based pushover tries you guys have managed from 5 metres out. This used to win games, now it only works against the smaller teams.

I chose the timeframe to takes into account the earliest when the bulk players of the 2 current sides have had the games. You're only as good as your last match. I don't measure our success by beating england, that's the original point I made to Norcs.
I have NO problem with england or theirans. They were the only ones who travelled to Ireland in the mid 70s troubles when the scots and the welsh didn't travel. They got a 15 minute standing ovation for turning up. They deserved it.

I acknowledge Ireland only played well in 1 game in last years 6N and that was v France.
However, we won all the other games too whether by 1 point or 29.
At our best we beat england 43-13, that does not, in fact, matter
If you've played the game, you'll know the saying " In a match the score only matters for 80 minutes. After that it's 1-0."
So... since 2001 which I'm sure you'll agree is a fair sample as it takes in your glory years, 6-3 to us ;-)

England tend to always rely on 1 player. Without their key player, they suck. In rugby it was Wilko, In cricket it was Flintoff and then Pieterson. Without those players they just cant perform. With us, you take our key player out and we have 3 more to fill his boots

To be honest, in rugby, the dirty players are usually very good players, because they intimidate the other team, and build confidence within their own teams. It's like when a fly half has the ball, he may pass it or kick it, but sometimes the flanker will still smash the fly half because he wants the fly half to be afraid, and therefore ruin his game. So, when someone says "he is one of the dirtiest players in rugby" it could be a good thing. It's always good to have a dirty player on your team.

You should know that things go around in circles. I clearly remember England giving the Boks a regular smashing both home and away with and without Johnson in the side. There was, in fact, a time when the Boks could just not beat England. At the moment things are different, but it will change again. If the same teams dominated all the time it would be bloody boring. The ABs wouldnt be so good if they were refereed properly, they get away with so much, especialy that cheating fucker McCaw.
