I really wish you could hear first person the presentation bu Buzz Aldrin of his experience on the moon. He was the most educated of the Apollo lot, PhD in astrophysics, mechanical engineering, and a few others if I remember correctly! As for virgin galactic if i comprehend it correctly then it is simply a goal of ascending 60 miles above the surface of the earth-the generally accepted barrier where 'space' begins. If you research the first private space mission you will hear the pilot/astronaut describe daylight become night, how he could see stars and planets.
