@dashingblue Umm, is she all right all by herself? Because i plan on getting one (only one) because my parents tell me that we can't take care for more than one :( So is it alright? Do you have to choose like, a specific piggy? Or something else like that?

@Redcode111 Websites usually say guinea pigs cannot live alone, they need a companion because they are sociable animals. You'll be surprised they can be pretty independent too - just like Vivi the guinea pig in the video! Don't force yourself if you cannot care for more than one. I rather you give all your love and attention to your guinea pig than to get frustrated when you realize two are too much work. Bond with it more often and you'll come to realize you can be it's one & only best friend!

@dashingblue Having a companion is nice but not necessary. If you give your piggy lots of attention and love it'll bond with you. Mine followed me around everywhere.

@WabbitLovesAnimals Hi, give your piggie its favourite food. :) And while it is eating, you can also pet and scratch her head and neck to make your piggie feel happy. (^_^) Slowly your piggie will learn to trust you and recognize you as its owner.

What a cute guinea pig! I low how she enjoys the hammock. No offend but I'm just a little concerned about that hay ball. I considered buying one but then I read reports from others that their guinea pigs had bad accidents with them or even died. Maybe it would be better to remove it so that nothing can happen.

But it's really cool how she loves the hammock. Mine do as well.

@simsniper I started toilet-training her when she was young, about a few months old. She picked it up quickly in about a week.

i dont trust a hamster as far as i can throw one, but ive never been bit by a guinnea pig. i cant have them anymore because im allergic to the hairs they shed, it gives me a really bad sore throat that usually turns into strep. guinnea pigs are one of the coolest things u can own besides a ferret.

your cage is so clean..my guinea pig piss on whatever i put in the cage like cloth,towel etc and become very messy.cage stinks a lot..can u give me some tips

@rapstarrohan No cage remain cleans for long. Even mine get dirtied within two days. You can toilet-train your guinea pigs. You can also clean up their cage every alternate days. No laziness. :p

That's being a responsible pet owner - because we all love our pets! :)

They still have to come out once a day to have a check over and my sheltie has his hair clipped and brushed every other day.
