They didn't 'copy' as in plagiarizing. It is the same genre. Mandy wrote the song, not Amy or any one affliated with Evanescence. So what if Evanescence inspires her? I still love Evanescence and listen to it all the time, yet I love Noctura just as much.

What's MORE is that they have the SAME producer as We are The Fallen, a guy called Dan Certa. No surprises there then! It's all too fucking convienient, same chord progressions, same use of vocal effects such as doubling, layering etc. Her voice doesn't sound nowhere near as raw and natural as Amy's, making it obvious that she's had a great deal of help in the studio, anyone can go and ask for their voice to be recorded and tailored to sound like anyone they want!

This band is just another Evanescence rip-off, this song sounds so much like Understanding. There's a BIG HUGE DIFFERENCE between the term inspired by and COPYING! But bands like this confuse the two! Mandy Suiter said in an interview that she was shocked when she heard Amy's voice because it sounded "freakishly" like hers, which is UTTER BULLSHIT since this band only set up in 2007, FOUR YEARS after Evanescence! She blatantly copied Amy and made it out that Amy sounds like HER!!!

She has a very soft voice. However, I don't think Amy sounds like a man/boy compared to her at all. There's usually a distinct difference between masculine and feminine voices, and it's still there. Amy's voice is lower throughout most of her songs, but she can still hit those crazy pitches. I really enjoy them though. Indy! <3

Her voice is pretty much the same as Amy's.
However, she has a different vibrato, which is something Amy almost never uses.
Also, her voice might be slightly higher in tone.
I guess we can't avoid the comparisson, but at least they've done something good using the elements Evanescence brought in the modern music era.
All in all, great band! Waiting for the album.
Hope more bands like this turn up in the future.

Some say this group sound like evanescence...for me the concept is same but to sound not, she has pretty voice but not same with amy...maybe technique of singing is almost similar....i simply recognize the different..both both band are awesome...

Three ex members of Evanescence formed a new band with Carly Smithson from American Idol as their singer and started a COMPLETELY NEW band named we are the fallen. Amy is still in Evanescence with new members and they are in studio recording a new Evanescence album now. WATF and Evanescence are two seperate bands. Evanescence never died, Amy is still in it. And this chick doesn't sound that much like Amy, similar but not enough to say it IS her.

You honestly can't hear the difference between her and Amy? I don't feel like anyone is suggesting they're better than Evanescence. Yes, the similarities are virtually carbon-copy; but there is still something--some little nuance--that sets them apart. If I were Amy Lee, I would feel flattered that somebody wants to sound similar... My $0.02 before taxes...

Yeah, it reminds me of Evanescence, but they're not putting out anything, so, Noctura FTW. Plus, the guitar is better than them in my opinion. YOU GUYS ROCK!

Plus, its always better to listen to the original than some knock off band. I mean sheesh, its called originality. This sounds so much like Evanescence its not even funny. And this band came out in 2007, Ev has been here since 1995. It sounds to me like Noctura is trying to feed off the nostalgia of Evanescence fans.

She has a very soft voice. However, I don't think Amy sounds like a man/boy compared to her at all. There's usually a distinct difference between masculine and feminine voices, and it's still there. Amy's voice is lower throughout most of her songs, but she can still hit those crazy pitches. I really enjoy them though. Indy! <3

Amy Lee is under contract to create three albums under the band name Evanescence.
Anywhere But Home and Origin have no been counted because one is a live album and the other is a demo.
Amy still has one more album to go before she is allowed to leave.
