  • My band used to practically cover this whole album back when. Good times.

  • RIP, Mark Reale!

  • After all of these years, Fire Down Under is still one of my favorites. Guy Speranza was a monster vocalist! I liked the weird album art too. I wouldn't change any of it!

FIRE DOWN UNDER IS UP THERE WITH HEAVEN AND HELL, NUMBER OF THE BEAST, ANIMAL MAGNETISM AND A BUNCH OF OTHERS OF THAT TIME....GREAT PRODUCTION...GREAT SOUND

  • FUCKING KILLER!!!!

  • All the guys in this band are probably pennyless, ...................a total injustice when utter shit such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, U2, etc are making millions !!

  • @Mopar604 I totally, 100%, bloody hell and fucking off agree with you!!!!!!!!

But you know what? This album shouldn't be popular, just for us:

  • still like this shit after all of these years!!!

  • @8quart Well, well a fellow follower, thanks for feeling the same way as I do! This band is one of the best I can remember. Grew up listening to their music. Can we all take a time capsule back in time??? Wish I could!!!

  • For East Coast rock you certainly wonder why Aerosmith

is a household name and these guys are hardly mentioned

  • @yourunclehank1 ..you nailed it,there are so many bands that didn`t get what they deserved...just goes to show that not everyone REALLY listens to music, they just hear the overused, repeated phrases!!!

  • still have a 8 track of it!!!

  • I still have the original vinyl copy I bought over thirty years ago. Its a little beat up, but it still plays. It doesnt sound dated at all . Its still cool

  • I still have the original vinyl I bought over thirty years ago . Its a little beat up but it still plays. It doesnt sound dated its still cool

  • i was born wayyyy too late. I wish i could of seen Riot and other bands in their prime...

  • @power6slave Me too..........

  • Fkn'Guy thanks you as well for the post!

  • I have been fortunate to have seen them 12 times! Various lineups but the same kick ass Metal.

  • I keep rockin these songs always! One of The best albums of all time! THANK You for the post!

  • freakishly underrated

  • Ik its amazing that bands like this can go under the radar when bands like The Who are considered Rock Legends.

  • wo i wish i saw riot live. schenker is a classicly traind expert on the guitar for sure !!!! sorry im typing in the darl half drunk off tequilla and cant see shit.lol

  • hey trouble, I never got to see them live:(

    The music is always inside!

  • I know a lot of people wonder why they're underated and underground, and say they don't have the recognition they deserve. But I like to think that those of us who found Riot and heard their music... We're as real as it gets when it comes to the rockers, the fans, the real people. We work overtime for tickets, and pull all the favors to see the shows. That restless breed. We're all a big rock & roll family.

  • Hey Man,

I want you to know that my friends and I were staunch Riot fans during the quick run that they had. We were in Lousiana! I am sure that we were the only ones who knew how great these guys were!

  • Man I wish I was there for those days...

  • I agree with you trouble... Those of us who have loved Riot and other bands who only have a "small" army of fans - are true rock fans! But I must say I HATE it when I mention Riot and someone says...." oh yeah, they sing that song "Come on Feel the Noise" uggggggg

  • @LilLoveTrooper ..thats quiet riot you dunce ..haha this is talent you have no idea

  • Dunce huh? I guess you need to go back and read my comment. I am saying that I love Riot, and hate when assholes think that the great band Riot, is the lame band, Quite Riot. Get it?

  • one of the finest rock albums ever.......hands down

  • Haven't heard this in 25 years. Awesome!

  • I think this is the hottest song on this album but thats too hard the rest are badass too!!!LOL

  • This was and is one of the BEST RECORDS OF ALL TIME...

  • With out a doubt, One of the best albums if not the best Hard Rock albums of the 80's

  • been a long time highly underated

  • "One of the best albums ever. "

Absolutely!!...Rock radio missed this Classic gem but maybe thats a good thing.

Front to back one of the best ...

  • This Album is one of the best "hard rock" albums, that hardly anyone has heard of.

From "Swords & Tequila to "flashbacks" this album never lets up!

And how this song and Outlaw, weren't big "radio hits", I never understand!

  • @removetube I know what you mean. I listen to this cd everyday, just to get my blood moving!!! Its the whole package, from crunching riffs to soft melodies. I love this album!!

  • @removetube NO DOUBT. I had a band we covered a lot of good bands, three songs from this album alone. Radio was /is/and will always be controlled by the labels and their interests. Great album right here.

  • as long as I heard of it! Killer riffs! non stop.

  • Past up a chance to see them will Rainbow in the 80's.. HUGE MISTAKE.

One of the best albums ever.

  • Saw them, triple bill Riot, UFO, and Rainbow. Like this album, they were OK at this show. UFO isn't the same without Schenker, Rainbow was awesome.

  • Dude I saw that tour too! I thought UFO rocked with Paul Chapman on Guitar? No Place to Run is on of my favorite UFO songs. You remember how Rainbow dropped the back drop on the song Straight between the eyes?

  • Holy Bee-Gee-Zuss! Did we rule in the '80s or what!??!

I still have this on vinyl, wore out two Cds of it also. Funny how the vinyl outlasted 'em

Thank you for posting this monument to hard rock!

Riot created some towering music. What a fantastic band!

  • saw Riot in Bristol supporting Sammy Hagar in '81 still the best support band i have ever seen..Blew me away!

  • You are right my man. And if you remember Guy Speranza grabbed my girlie mag from the front row and told us all how much he was missing some of that ! Yeah I know I was young but he seemed a man of the world. Dead now - and only a few years older than all of us. Don't be fooled into thiniking that the bewigged Mark was Riot - any doubt just check out those songwriting credits. And talk to people who were there.Nuff Said.

  • Bristol Gig 1981

  • i love this band but never got the image of a seal what does that mean puro san anto hard rock

  • LOU RONEY - JOE ANTHONY - DJ's at 99.5 the real KISS FM -PLAYED THIS ENTIRE ALBUM ....... in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS USA KISS FM WAS THE ONLY RADIO STATION IN THE USA THAT PLAYED HARD ROCK IN THE MORNING

  • never mind , i found it

  • I dont suppose you could email outlaw , and feel the same to me could you?

  • Riot still kicks ass the last 2 releases are every bit as good

  • This IS the Studio-Version!

  • Thank you!!!!!!

  • Though if this was the live version that would be totally awesome :D.

  • @hansichecker you rock hansichecker:D I am jamming muy bass to this right now.............

  • @hansichecker Dude!!! You fuckin' ROCK!!!

  • Riot was one of the best ever!! Sadly all the people that love Great Rock and Roll "the masses" missed these guys along with the west coast Riot Y&T!!

  • This whole album kicked serious ass in early 80's and still does today! I remember I used to tell people about Riot and how good this album was...and they all would say.."you mean Quiet Riot?" That used to piss me off..I'd say "NO" I said Riot ! Damn...I hated Quiet Riot!

  • correct -Riot is underrated.

  • Riot has been one of my favorite bands since high school days in the 70's. Almost an unknown band on the west coast back then, I had the opportunity to see them live with Rhett Forrester on vocals at the "Keystone Palo Alto" One of the best shows I've ever seen. Even the band was stunned by the powerful audience reception. Having said that, the Guy Speranza era was the best, and "Fire Down Under" was their best album in my opinion. Great music and great times!

  • Heylanemanw3. This is KINGKRUMPLETFACE hollerin at ya all the way from the streetz of AZUSA,CALIFORNIA.Yea brother i'm right there with you bro i'm an old metalhead.
