Did you have to get permission from the gail zappa or anyone to put this up? I want to put up a video I made with Ya Hozna in the background and wondered about copyright. Thanks!
my god! what a fucking genious! can't believe he stuck in sofa and andy from one size fits all! i love FZ, and hey i think you should reverse "pry, to" by pearl jam, i think there is something in there, it's off of vitalogy and it's only like a minute long. comment back if you could possibly do this for me, great work m8! :)
no, it wont live on forever....the eons are closing....but im suprised the zappa kids arent fatter than they are Gail try itunes realease your death grip on the vault. thx.
(anubis....... doggus the 1000 year old dog) oh by the way, this sounds worse than the original no wonder Mubarak finally left. this song has his name on it.
One of the first Zappa songs I ever heard. Between that and WPLJ, I almost never listened to another one. Thankfully I gave FZ one more try and discovered the full depth of the amazingness, but to this day the two ONLY songs of his I cannot stand to hear are WPLJ and this one.
@zappascum It was indeed, maybe in 1999. I bought it because I wanted to see if I could expand my musical horizons a little bit. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine it would work so well.
@billmilliganhisself son of cheap thrills was my first zappa album! When i bought it, i didn't knew who he was. i just loved the crazy artwork on the cover:) Ya Hozna was actually the first song that made me think; what the fuck is this!? then of course,i was hooked.
The point is that there were many lovely groups in America and elsewhere suggesting that bands like Black Sabbath, among others, were promoting devil worship by planting backwards messages from satan himself within their lyrics. The impressionable youth of America (and elsewhere) would then play their songs backwards and rampage through churches raping choirboys and stealing money from the congregation. A job we all know is best left to the clergy. This is FZ mocking the absurdity of it all.
"Ya Honza" is one of the most demented and beautiful things that Frank did. I have always adored this piece. And this is just my opinion, but second to Frank's genius is the top notch, underrated musical monsters that he played with.
I know about the album-I've had it for 20 years- but what about the song you're mentioning? Are you saying the musicians were or weren't good? I'm trying to understand what your point is.
LOL I've always wanted to play this backwards to see what the lyrics were, since they were recorded backwards on the original. Nope, still as garbled. But definitely worth the try!
the old mothers can be heard with the lyric snippet from Lonely Little Girl, another zappa song, as well as bits of Moon's vocals in Valley Girl, in this case, rather distorted

hanks for the comment and btw if you watch the "FRANK ZAPPA REVERSED SUBLIMINAL MESSAGE" video please tell the guy that he not only copied my video but it was zappa's intention to reverse this song
@Baconstang66 I have always wondered what the original recording sounded like!! as a lifetime ZAPPA freak I cant thank you enough,Thanks for sharing this with us.
Hairy Jaysus! This has got to be the most unbelievable find for me on UTube! Thanks for the lyric transcription too - ich bin deine Ritze und Schlitze - absolutely - and that lovely operatic tonal inflection from Frank - huge huge thanks for this dude(s)!!!!!!!
thanks for the comment! i was going to put the lyrics in the video but i didnt have enough time. i am glad to see that someone thinks that this is cool
cool. Thanks for doing this. Bit of trivia: Moon's Valley Girl speak on this was used on an unreleased version of "Drafted Again" intended for Thing-Fish.
So can we start calling this "Sofa #3"?

Yes I know that Ya Hozna is Sofa No. 2 backwards. I don't have to hear it played backwards/fowards to know. I have an ear.
