  • I've been going through this since September, My tremors haven't been so bad since I fill my body with water before sleeping after a lot of beers but I can't stand trying to sleep and then having my brain feel like it's shutting down followed by an attack of uncontrollable shakes. It evolves into a panic attack and I feel like I'm going to slip into a stroke any second. It hasn't happened yet and I'm trying so hard to give it all up. Why did I ever do this :(

  • he mustve been the life of the party. now he is paying the price.

  • The government is committing genocide on a daily basis while alcohol is legal. You want to feel something good? Smoke weed instead then. Weed would never do this to you. FUCK what the government has to say. They're a bunch of hypocritical frauds.

  • very sad to see this. hope he pulled through and quit drinking. I stopped in time. Was getting close to that point.

  • Been there myself.. It sucks watching.. Anyways, there IS HOPE out there! Kindle users, check out my emagazine, kinda tells a bit of my story ( /watch?v=wocD6tEXIeo ) Feel free to email me too :) Namaste :)

  • Goodness...what a lucky man. Not to be in that position, but to be in that position with medical surveillance and a woman who clearly cares for him holding his hand for the duration. I have experienced this a few times...not heavily, but enough to make me fear for my life and go in/out of consciousness. My girlfriend at the time reacted by leaving me and fucking random people, which made the withdrawal much worse. It is better to have friends/family with you, or at least know someone cares.

  • I have seen this numerous times thanks to my overindulgant friends and family members, and my heart goes out to all those who have either experienced this first hand, or have lived through this as alcoholics. It's the most tragic thing I have ever witnessed, and it always ended in a miserable death. My condolences to all who have lost loved ones due to this illness, and my absolute support to all those struggling to quit their addiction. I know your pain and suffering very well.

  • Booze is bad. Benzos are worse. Sorry for the pain, but sorrier for the family members who love you so much! Good will come from it. And don't give god all of the credit! You earned it!

  • There's no context to this video. How long was this guy drinking, how many days in a row, how much a day??? Withdrawal on this level is seen in extremely severe cases. The addiction industry uses.videos like this to scare moderate drinkers into thinking that they're next. Remember....rehab centers can't stay open without a hefty, revolving door membership. The more victims you can produce, the better.

  • poor guy :(

  • that is the worst feeling I have ever experienced... Id rather be dead

  • And you wonder why this is legal and marijuana is not. Fuck tha po-lice

  • I SO hope that this poor man finally recovered from this awful problem of alcohol withdrawal which can be, and too often is, fatal. Even more sad is the fact that some people revert to alcoholism even after the most dreadful of effects of alcohol withdrawal too horrible to describe but this video clearly shows it as such. I so admire the lady with him who obviously loves him very much. I hope this all ended happily and that he is totally sober now.

  • I've had a drink problem for about 5 years, I've not had seizure yet, but Ive had that horrible nervous pressure in my head when i haven't had a drink. I get that horrible feeling like im gonna have a seizure and sometimes i wish i did, just so that horrible feeling will go away. As for Benzodiazepines Ive been on them to stop withdrawal. But even those drugs cant stop withdrawal as bad as this guys.

  • Shouldn't they be giving this guy some Benzodiazepines?

  • @TheRandomSweed sorry you wont drink if you cant smoke.. and yes you will get youre life back if you try... And this is how FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheRandomSweed hear in the states they dont do that but that is one of the best idias that I have ever herd...... you wont smoke if you cant dr

  • Been a heavy drinker and sober now for 2 months and tought things were getting better but today i had a withdrawal attack and i tought it was something else so i looked around the net to see what i can find and guess what, alcoholics can also suffer from "Post-acute-withdrawal syndrome"... Damn this shit! I want my life back!!!

  • @TheRandomSweed

You're well on your way to getting your life back. Once you break through the wall you'll feel better than you ever have in your life. Stay strong.

  • @AirForceGirl05 Thank you.

  • @TheRandomSweed

You're welcome! I'm fighting this thing too.

  • @TheRandomSweed It's confusing here in the US I don't know you're American but the treatment here is very conflicting, I heard that P.A.W.S was not really a thing from one counselor but in rehab it was preached. what did you do about it?

  • This was so heartbreaking to watch......... GOD BLESS AA!

  • I have been a really heavy drinker for more than 10 years. I'm talking about a bottle of Vodka a day or more. Last year I was married. Again drinking like crazy for days before. The day after my wedding I started my first day of work at a new job. Went cold turkey for work. At the end of my shift my boss woke me up from a gran maul seizure from withdraw. when I was taken to the hospital a MRI found a brain tumor the size of a chicken egg. The doctor said my liver is working at 10% of what it sh

  • alcohol is legal and yet weed isn't? what is this world coming too

  • @TaroWalthr In our part of the world they hide cigarettes but keeps the bottles visible in stores.

  • alcohol kills and ruins more peoples lives than anyone will ever know, and what do we do advertise and celebrate it all over the media, fuckin life!

  • damn what the fuck was he drinking. i quit like 10 days ago and im glad i never got to that point. im staying off the sauce after i've found out how horrible it can get if you continue to drink

  • this is one reason marijuana needs to be legal, it is less harmful

  • I can have 30 drinks a day at worst. Been drinking for 3 years but not nearly this constantly. Worst withdrawal so far consisted of bad shaking, diarrhea and flatulence, fatigue, stress, abdominal and back pressure/pain, nausea, short-term loss of appetite, sweating, quick joint/muscle pain and cramps etc. Also had extreme closed-eye visuals (basically hallucinating with your eyes closed), severe anxiety and a feeling of a foreshadowing doom. Doctor said it could have been early DT's.

  • Alcohol is mostly harmless to those that drink responsibly.

It's his fault he chose to drink all the time.

  • I remember seeing alcoholics in detox, having delirium tremens and shaking and hallucinating... It looked awful. Heroin withdrawal I think is more physically painful though

  • @Stillwater900

completely agreed. ive been through both detoxes cold turkey.. a LOT OF BOTH. it was tough to come off of the oxys and a friend just locked me in a room for about 5 days and i was physically ill, throwing up, hot flashes/cold chills, flu. but the alcohol withdrawal, i thought i was losing my mind. seeing things like insects crawl around everywhere, monsters coming for me. this went along with the physical symptoms. if they discovered alcohol today, it would be illegal i think.

  • @EdudLufetips Or, because 99% of people can use it without becoming addicted or becoming monsters (ie killing innocents during a DWI), it is legal, and you dont blame the drug you blame the person who decides to use it to excess?

  • @r0ck3tsm0k3

a couple things wrong with your comment. at least 10% of Americans are alcoholics, and that number is probably much lower than the actual number because the hardest thing for most alcoholics to do in the first place is to even ADMIT that they are dependent on booze.

secondly, i've done research on RDS (reward deficiency syndrome). There is an actual genetic factor in addiction. people with a mutation in a specific gene have lower dopamine levels and drugs boost them.

  • @r0ck3tsm0k3

and my justification for saying alcohol would be illegal if discovered today is that it is so much more toxic than just about every other recreational drug. in fact, a regular dose of heroin (i.e. before it results in respiratory failure, which alcohol can easily do as well) does less damage to your organs than tylenol. alcohol is toxic to EVERY organ in the body, and negatively affects the most enzymes of the recreational chemicals (obviously paint thinner is worse)

  • @r0ck3tsm0k3

google 'bbc news worst drugs' and look at the first link. then tell me what you think.

  • Alcohol is the only drug that damages every organ in the body, did you know that?

  • I'm alcoholic and I need help

  • @alqammd contact your doctor and ask for advice. do not go cold turkey

  • @alqammd I went through it alone, (quitting), DO NOT DO IT. Not only the most terrifying experience of my life, but found out later how close I was to death. You CAN DO IT much easier with trained help, I'm here if needed....

  • @alqammd Man so am I - to be honest, I've had terrible DT's & seen a full Grand Mal Seizure way worse than anything you can imagine - its tough, Im struggling with "AA" at the moment & just trying to stay sober - God Bless

  • @peterfether I am as well bro. I have been drinking beer every day for the last few years. Every day. I didnt get into hard stuff, but its just as bad what I've turned into. I am scared, sick, nervous on days I cant afford to buy enough. It is hell. I usually go through 8 or 9 24oz cans of beer a day. I cant beleive I've done this to myself. Now I am trapped. And I have a family, who is feeling all of my pain, and dont deserve it. Its easier said then done to just stop.

  • @alqammd god with you...

  • @alqammd lol

  • @alqammd I woke up in the emergency room back in September of 2011, I blew a .443 when i arrived. they told me that i should have been dead. Thankfully im still here.

  • is he better now ? and still clean? god bless

  • Been here before. Though not nearly as bad as him. But I've had the shakes so bad I couldn't stand. I don't know what's worse, the physical pain or the extreme anxiety and fear feeling that overcomes you. It's an absolute nightmare. I don't think most people realize..I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy,,

  • he needs a drink

  • So sad, did he make it through this? Sober today?

  • 2005 i experienced what's happening to this fellow i drink like a fish.

  • same shit with me drining and benzos are the most dangeris drug oin the world

  • smoking too much can cause seizure too .... but i do not smoke

  • i found this almost impossible to watch. fucking hell.

  • I went trough hell. I actually know that I was in Hell and if I would of died I would of stayed there for ever.I was in another dimension, demons told me that life was like cycles in we are at the ending part of it when judgement from God comes even they are scared of that

  • @Severddans God doesn`t exist. Cute story though.

  • @AlbinoGhandi God DOES exist. Truthful story though.

  • @publicatdamagnificen How do you know "God DOES exist" ? Please don't say the bible, it's a faith book - Fairytales.

  • @pnoidd Oh no my friend. God is real; I used to be an athiest.

  • @pnoidd God is real.

  • @publicatdamagnificen No I asked for your proof, you can go on in life with your security blanket but when you die, there is nothing. I'm sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @pnoidd I can't prove anything to you because....You are very ignorant. You're already messed up!

  • @pnoidd "How do you know "God DOES exist" ? "

Via a sense of conviction. Same as anything else. How do you know man landed on the moon? You see videos and it convinces you; perhaps they are hoaxed. How do you know God exists? You hear about God and it convinces you; perhaps it is myth, etc. If you limit your belief in the existence of anything to that which you can test and control, then you simply limit your knowledge to that which falls inside your criteria. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

  • @pnoidd i respect your choice to not believe in god but why is it everytime someone brings up god, a atheist always jumps in with "PROVE IT!" - well...how about YOU show proof that god does NOT exist. also why is there such a problem letting people believe what they want to believe. i don't know whats worse, bible thumpers or over opinionated atheists, one is just as bad as the other.

  • @hoopdoop71 because you dont need to disapprove anything until you've proved it. idiot!

  • @hereicome72 that was just weak and stupid, if your going to try and tell entire sect of people they are wrong you better have more than just he/she/it does not exist because i say so.

  • @hoopdoop71 you know that you dont make sense, don't you?

  • @hereicome72 my point was very clear. im done with you

  • I have been drinking copious amounts for many many years now with only a few one or two day medically supervised breaks. I'm too scared to stop, also have experienced the DT's

  • @highihigh

You are going to have to check yourself into the emergency room.

    You need help.

If you get past the shakes and sweats and start to feel better you will drink again!

You need at least 3 days inpatient detox take a 28 day retreat with some people who will help you manage life.

You don't want to involuntarily sober up when you get wet brain and are drinking out of a sippy cup.

  • @maffusse went to see my doc and have been prescribed valium and temazapam to help me sleep also taking vitamin b1 and multi vitamins, also sustagen, trying to do a home detox

  • @dieselskyy You're an idiot or an ignorant teenager.

  • @dieselskyy Delirium Tremens is only seen in severe, long-term alcoholism cases. The body stops making GABA neurotransmitter because it mistakes the alcohol for GABA. So when you stop drinking, you have no GABA neurotransmitter function going on. GABA functions in the autonomic nervous system regulating heart beat, blood pressure, respiration, and other things vital to life. Untreated DT is extremely dangerous and often fatal.

  • @dieselskyy your a fucking idiot

  • Alcohol is more dangerous and destructive than any drug on the world! Stay away!! God bless those afflicted!

  • @matthewlagrange3000

If God existed why did he put these people through drug/alcohol addiction in the first place? Why does he let children starve yet will help an athlete whom prays win a medal?

Time to pop that religious bubble and grow the hell up.

  • Holy shit Ive been drinking 3-4 beers everyday for months and i only 18, I will have to stop.

  • @90talisten Rock and roll!

  • @daveyboyfox

    Fuck yeah!

  • @90talisten you are kidding me right??? Baha thats not alcoholic mate... N dont go slinging around that you are one coz i know the little fuckn shit stirring wankers who love the bad ass self destructive label to get attention....... You want heavy drinking? I have been an alcoholic now for 2 years in the last 5 months it has been even worse.. needing to drink every day and weekends come I Binge Friday nights drinking around 16-18 standard drinks in under 4 hours. I get blind. and it aint kool!

  • @DjTommyKx

    You need to get laid.

  • @90talisten The reply I was expecting... as I said... Wanker.

  • @DjTommyKx

    You is a cunt

  • Do all alcoholics experience this when they withdraw? My dad was a major drunk (Vodka just about ever goddamn day) & tried rehab twice before he died. Watching this makes me feel a little more sympathetic to what he went through.

  • how much drink for how long last cristmas i had it after drinking all day every day for 3 weeks.i couldnt get out of bed for a week my bed was soked with sweat i had unontroalble jerks ans shakes...when i got up i fealt like i would faint i couldnt eat a thing and would vomit offen it was the hardest thing i have ever done.i idid it all while having alcohol in plain sight alot of it as well i just had the will power it was the sirst time in my life i thought about really killing myself

  • @jfkjrlover Only extremely serious alcoholics experience this. Alcohol has to more or less bond with you; you can never forget it, and never completely sever the bond. Just a little drinking here and there will never bring DT. To experience this, it's like your very SOUL has to merge with alcohol.

  • lol and this shits legal but bud aint... blows my fuckin mind

  • I´ve had two seizures and my doc keep telling me that the third one can kill me. But I don´t care anymore...

  • Everyones diff

  • If I have one drink, the rest of the week goes to shit because I need more and have an "Episode". This means I dont make it to work, I have a bad time with my wife, I lose bags and phones and spend a week drunk trying to retrieve what I´ve lost. I´m English and live in Germany. Trying to call pubs and clubs in my drunken state to see if they found my bag is a stress! This hapens constantly. Maybe Im talking to much about myself and not the video!

  • Thank you for posting this, my brother died in a similar state, I hope this keeps someone from drinking.

  • Been there. Terrible shit

  • This video creeps me out!! Ive felt like Ive been close to this bad before but its been a while since. But anyway from 3:50 to the end is he trying to say something. I see his mouth isnt moving but listen carefully. Sound like a low gurgle sound.

  • phenobarbital or Librium are used to detox safely...and it should be done in a hospital.

  • I know what DTs are like, from watching my dad go through them-- it's a very painful and disturbing sight. So then I have this question: in Nevada if you get a DUI and there was no felony-type actions, they pretty much force you to leave on your own recognizance and if you are a heavy drinker, require that you take breath tests everyday. I had a friend who went through this, and went into seizures from going cold turkey as demanded by law enforcement. No wonder peope get 2nd dui's afer 1st.

  • @RayTech70 Your friend should have gotten medical help. There is no excuse for driving while drunk, that puts innocent people at risk.

  • My ex just checked himself into an alcohol rehab center. During the marriage, he abused alcohol and I put my foot down and he quit for 13 years. After we separated and divorced, he began drinking again and got a girlfriend who did too. They broke up last week after 2 years. I hate that he's in rehab now, but by him going there shows he admits there is a problem. And that's a start.

  • can u use xanax to come off the alcohol

  • @razzo086 Xanax is just as addictive as alcohol. If not, more.

  • @razzo086 what about valium? atleast you could taper down of tablets

  • People who are watching this video and wondering if they should stop drinking themselves probably should. The average temperate drinker almost never has to question their relationship with booze or drugs, and if they do, they can simply stop without all the inner turmoil and deliberation. There is a ton of help available out there for those who are ready to accept it. I've been sober for a year and a half myself and I still have fun. Good luck to all.

  • @donwest420 Honestly weed should be legal since it just takes huge amounts of money to keep it illegal and all for nothing. People of course should be informed how to use it properly.

If we'd go with the "ban everything"-way... well, alcohol is impossible to ban. Its just so easy to make. Weed growing is easier to restrict although stupid; actual criminals make huge money just because its banned and those who grow it to themselves suffer.

Rhetorical question, yes, but this is the answer.

  • is it normal people to video tap some one in this case without a permission .. I mean he's helpless to even give u that permission .

  • @donwest420 Completely agree! makes no sense at all!!

  • This is the effects of drugs, not the worst but none the less this is the outcome..

  • I quit drinking because I would get to that "Feeling Good" stage for an hour, Then shake and sweat the next 24 hours. The ratio turned on me.

  • lightweight...

  • i had alcohol withdrawls after cristmas from drinking alot alot over 3 months every day...not as bad as the poor chap but i still wanted to die....i cut down over a week every day was hell as i only drank enuff to stop the worst of the withdrawls basicly a can off cider every 3- 4 hours just to take the edge off and 2 before bed so i could get a couple of hours sleep..but still had to put up with most of it....i had shit loads of alcohol in my room looking at me and my will power stuck

  • To all you "experts" out there advising to "just cut down" and "get some will power". Do a little research.

Would you advise a heroin addict to just get a little will power and cut down a little at a time? No?

Its called an ADDICTION for a reason.

  • @Mouskavitz no shits eh, some people don't have a clue and I used to be one of them. I am a recovering heroin addict and I tell you now if you havn't been through any type of withdrawl then you just don't understand.

  • All the fun of Malaria with none of the blood-rending parasites!

  • I feel bad for this guy, but how is alcohol legal and cannabis isn't? This just makes me more convinced.

  • im going through something similar after my 2 1/2 years of heavy drinking '

but running 3 miles drinking water and apple cider vinegar has eased my symptoms believe it or not i did had hallucinations but in my mind i was aware that it had to do with the alcohol withdraw, significantly healing me , i think the problem is when you go through dt and freak out it will over power u becoming even more ill and possibly die. thats mind power for you... i hope this guy is ok now cause that serious shit

  • Orion- you are being full of BS. If you had a condition wihch caused anything similar to this, you would be covered by disability. You probably have not even checked- because you are too embarrassed. Alcoholism, like any other disease, is a DISEASE. It may be self-induced, but it winds up being just as bad as anything NON-induced.

  • @LemkeR I have seizures due to a head injury cause by a car accident. It is controlled by medication. But I still have them occasionally. I have a pacemaker because of atril fib. A heart condition that runs in my family which can cause strokes. I have chest pains almost every day but not severe enough to put me in the hospital. I checked into SSI to see if I could drawl disability, and I can't. Not unless I'm in the hospital every day because my meds won't control it. So I have to work.

  • What makes me mad about this. He can draw disability for that condition caused by alcoholism and I can't draw shit for having seizures and having a pacemaker. If I miss 2 more days of work because of seizures or anything else, I'm fired. After that I'm screwed. No insurance, no meds, no doctor.

  • @orion4m3 What are you, Australian?

  • @jlmadill

     Nope. American

  • A bad place to be. Sad as it is that few get it beforehand.

  • I want a g&t now

  • Congrats to all that fight this on a daily basis. Weed can actually help quite a damn bit. I could see it being prescribed for just such an instance, if it were fully legalized though :/

  • @HellsGladiator i think weed should be legalized, but weed does not help with alcohol withdrawal i tryed it, it can help after withdrawal it helps to let you sleep and eat more while recovering, but it wont prevent seizurs or death when going threw withdrawal the only thing that can prevent that is another depressant. they would never perscribe weed for alcohol withdrawal it would be a stupid life threatining mistake.

  • i know how to help this with 3 things

    1. marajuana

    2.pot

3.weed and i know they are all the same but they work

  • I know how to prevent this. This happens when i drink 95% of the time. but I know how to prevent it not completely but when it starts to before it starts. The starting symptoms and if its half way their how to stop it from blacking out into a seizure. ive hurt myself many times from this.I have a way that might help you. it sounds crazy but ive done it myself. i was so sick from a 6 day pure fifth a day. the worst happened was my arms went numb. but i know how to stop it

  • poor dude

  • Targeted doses of Valium over a one week period can do the trick. Cold turkey is insane.

  • Each time I had to get sober, the best way I found to survive DT's and get through the initial detox was this.....

    - As soon as you wake start eating healthy and and do some sort of light physical activity throughout the day to wear your self out and keep your brain occupied.

    - At bed time take a couple sleeping pills and smoke a small amount of weed.

    - Conitnue this for about a week while cutting the sleeping pills smaller each night to get used to not needing them..

  • @xthantos I like your ideas. Thank you Pumpkin:)

  • @xthantos yet you say substitute sleeping pills and weed? And then taper off sleeping pills? Everything else you said was right, and yes if you cut it in half you would be awake for days. You can ween, it has to be slow and gradual, it could take 3 months and a lot of will power. Cut down by 2 drinks, stick to it for a week. Next week cut down 2 more. The hardest thing is not going for the next to top you off.

  • @xthantos How do you kill the urge? EAT! Something, anything. I'm sure you know after you eat you don't want to drink anymore, and your ready for bed. You'll be out like a light, and won't notice any difference at all if you just cut down by a couple. Best way to do it if you have the will power.

  • @TheRabidPosum

Alcohol withdrawals are extremely serious and aren't a means of will power. If a heavy drinker stop suddenly it will cause hallucinations and seizures. No amount of willpower can stop a seizure.

  • @spikeyeyerish no shit, really? You telling me something I don't know? Did you read my comments? I'm talking from experience. Yes you are right, if you went cold turkey. My advise was to cut down by 2 drinks, and stick to it for a week. 2 drinks is nothing, and you won't have ANY withdrawl simptoms at all nevermind hallucinations and seizures. In that case it has everything to do with willpower. The hardest thing is not going for the next, no different than quiting smoking.

  • @telecasterhst69

I don't live in an area where there's AA. Also, no medical backup to help. (In a third world, or might as well be third world country where I am). I'll look into 'benzos' on the net (no idea what they are). Thanks so much for your info - it does not fall on deaf ears at all! I'm serious about this. Thanks again.

  • damn it im still not out of it, i dont know when my next episode will happen

  • So can't you stop drinking a little at a time and save yourselft the DT's? Or is DT's something else?

  • @Dameswort Its tough to get an alcoholic to taper down, nearly impossible. However if you can wean yourself down it can work but it takes many, many days and serious disipline. My advice is to seek medical help and try to get some benzos and start hitting AA meetings. At the same time, dont get hooked on benzos either.

  • alcohol DTs can kill you no question, ive been there hallucinating and shaking and meds have given me alcohol until I can safely detox, Oxy withdrawel is much more uncomfortable but aint no where near as dangerous similar to Heroin, horrible nasty shit but its not life threateneing like alcohol

  • Was a heroin addict till i was 30. Horrible withdrawls. Did not think there could be anything worse than kicking until i became a full blow alcholic at 35. I always thought i went through DT's until I really got them. Insane just the craziest most painfull thing ever.

  • Opiate withdrawals are hell but you wont die. My dad has told me his DT stories. Talk about some scary shit. I'm an Alcoholic but I havent gone through that hell. Thank God.

  • wow.i did this at home,by the time i needed a hospital,it was far to late to drive or use a phone. So please prepare, get professional assistance.almost 2 mo clean now.

  • @nokillingme congratulations :)

  • @nokillingme Are you still clean?...if you are..I'm Proud of you!!

  • @nokillingme Good for you! That is wonderful.

  • @nokillingme good for you congrats

  • @nokillingme

grats playa keep at it... had 5 months off of H then relapsed felt like such an asshole for doin it got 3weeks now boooo

  • in an emergency you give the alcoholic his booze. THEN you take him to detox. you are NOT enabling the person, you are giving him what he needs until you can get him to the doctor.

  • heroin is worse... u just cant take it, ive been tru alcohol withdrawls its not even 10 percent of an heroin one , its just wjhat pain is, goes to the centre o all pleasure in your brain and blocks it for 1 week during the first 3 days u cant even think. just suffer

  • @badsign1980 you are 100 % wrong. alcohol withdrawals can kill you, no other type of withdrawals can, not even herion! coming off of opiates sucks ass but i've learned that alcohol withdrawals are the ABSOLUTE worst!!

  • @Curiner I think they meant that alcohol withdrawal is the most dangerous of any other drug withdrawal, not that the withdrawal itself is a drug.

  • poor guy

  • he just wants to touch his wiener. why won't she let him touch his wiener?

  • I've never ever felt anything as nightmarish as alcohol withdrawals. Breaking my back was maybe 1/1000th of the pain of dt's. And yes alcohol, along with benzodiazepine withdrawals are far worse than any other kind. The only two you can die from.

  • DT's are the worst feeling ever..there is nothing that i can come close to compair them to.

  • this would never happen if u just smoke bud haha

  • Jesus, why didn't somebody just give the guy a beer?

  • EVERYBODY!!! SHOTS!! SHOTS!!! SHOT!!!.......

  • Can all the stoners shut the fuck up for a second? I used to use soft drugs like weed and shrooms, and i agree they are pretty much harmless. I then discovered alcohol and Valium and went through my own struggles with wds etc. Pretty much when you WD off GABA drugs like alcohol. Educate yourself, doctors help this guy out with valium

  • I don't get it. I didn't think there was a medication out there that would do a damn thing for alcohol withdrawal. Nor can I see why he went through this and ended up in a coma. I thought they had an actuall alcohol drip IV, and the patient had to be weened off it gradually. It's a physical addiction at that point your body needs it to survive. You can't quit it cold turkey and expect some medication to take the place, without fatal risks. That's what I always thought anyway.

  • Benzodiazepine suppository and he would of much better after 20 mins, poor bastard.

  • @TheNailBomber

Not necessarily, Chloridediazepoxide helps to prevent seizures but that does not mean that a seizure won,t occur.

  • He didn't have to suffer like this, a benzodiazepine suppository would of stopped all this after about 20 mins. Poor bastard..

  • Why was he not given medication to prevent seizures????
