There's a lot of image processing, which is done one frame at a time, so the speed is limited by how fast your processor is. You might get a few frames per second, but not 25. It's intended to grab single images, not video. You are likely looking for an app that, once it detects motion, grabs a few seconds of video. Mine doesn't do that.
