hey see you talkin about lockers. get a selectable locker. like and elocker or an arb air locker. something that can be either fully locked or fully open. that way you can lock it in the mud or whatever when you have no weight on the back, or when you are pulling a trailer you can have it open so you dont destroy your rear end. the lockers that lock themselves every time you hit the gas are cheap ass crap for people who just want to make an old beater truck offroad worthy as cheap as they can.

air lockers and elockers are for people who want a realistic, versatile upgrade to their vehicles off roading capabilities. im getting front and rear arb air lockers for my explorer here soon. it will be an offroad "sleeper". all the bitches with huge lifts and huge tires will be crying when i rip through shit on my 31's and they have fuckin 35's and are stuck. and then i will jump on the highway and drive my ass back home bc its my daily driver. yup yup, selectable lockers.....only way to go

don't know how more aggressive the detroit locker is, but the G80 doesn't lock up unless there's excessive wheel spin...

im gunna answer this for you incase no one else did....yes and no. a v8 does suck some gas but its cheaper to fill up..just add air intake and a exhaust and you should jump up 2-3 more miles to a gallon now on a diesel for me its up there in price and it really depands on the size you get..i have a ford F-350 with 8.5 lift sittin on 38"s and i get 14 mpg so id go with a v8 but if a teenager is gunna get it v8 is way way cheaper to fix then a diesel

I'm a Cummins guy, but I LOVE the sound of a Powerstroke just as well! Take a longer clip of it just takin' off...sounds pretty sweet!
