@FyiDancer actually no. It mostly ended because of Divad's mother, who complained about the grease and threatened to sue the show. A lot of parents didn't like it, but it wasn't against the law. Otherwise, it wouldn't have aired at all.

I'm somewhat disappointed in Sophia's decision, she's usually so much more rational than that. Hot air balloons are just so... instant but short lived gratification that certainly are not once in a life time as once the kids are older they should be able to afford a ride even on a bad job.

Given these are children and the decision is very expected, but looking at it from an older perspective it just seems a waist when held in contrast to something that will stand for much longer, that's all. I mean it's not as if Hot air balloons are this amazing "you'll never have another chance" experience.

I would have preferred the monument (though I think it would have been better if they carved each kids names on it too), but honestly... Since the show didn't get renewed, how many people do you think would actually see it? The town is out in the middle of no where. I don't think it gets much traffic.
