Sonic Team was always targeting kids along with teens. And Sonic 2006 (this game) was aimed at mature audiences and look how horrible the story turned out. Sonic needs to stay childish and cocky with attitude like he used to be, just not cheesy/corny.

Sonic just isn't Sonic without Jun Senoue's music through out the game. He only did 3 songs for this game (His World, All Hail Shadow, and Dreams of an Absolution (LB vs JS)) and only All Hail Shadow was even in the game!

Thats good to know. But i think you should consider hiring this game first before buying it. This game wasn't finished. The gameplay is no where near as good as it looks but i still enjoyed it.
