  • The morphing is so smooth. It's fantastic. Thank you for also putting up their nude photos. All of these girls were works of art.

  • Thankyou for sharing this,it's beautifull! My grandma was a showgirl in Chicago, and I've got similar publicity photos of her, dressed as Cleopatra, and,a 'risque' milkmaid type costume, she'd have fit into these perfectly! (despite my obvious nepotism/bias, she was a tall slender beauty) Thankyou for sharing this, and I adore Pachebels canon!

  • Stunning. Thanks for putting it together.

  • Extreme beauty in Vintage excellence and Class!!

  • owo....just beautiful !!!

  • Women are such beautiful creatures. And sexy too.

  • Thanks for sharing this. The video is very well done and extremely tasteful. I've been a long admirer of Alfred Cheney Johnston and I'd be willing to bet he would be happy to see his work presented this way.

Kudos for a job well done!

  • eh but there are all naked most of them butt naked, its not as nasty as the modern photos tend to be but they are all naked, I am sure they usually had on a little bit more during the shows even if very little. eh I am surprized they did this in the 1920s and all it was loose but conservative by comparison to today.

  • It is weird for me because growing up from the 60s' and 70s' uk that even when hearing old stories and watching movies it still seems that characters now are pretending to a past. This is much more real.

  • yes that Pachel's Cannon or whatever it's called has become a cliché by now. too bad, it was a nice piece of music, but has been now beaten to death from overuse.

  • how sad these beautiful women are no longer alive.i'm sure many ended up in nursing homes and no one cared.

  • Oooooh...this is not censored, I'm surprised.

  • Capital!

  • Wonderful - In the days before cam4 and xtube and sex in the movies we h ad Ziggy. Those beautiful women somehow look much more innocent then todays.

  • I'd known that some of the very famous Old Hollywood actresses were a Zeigfeld girl before they went and tried their luck in Hollywood.

Alfred Cheney really knew how to capture their natural beauty. How magnificent. ;)

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Nice vid. Johnston had the right touch for his craft.

  • stupendous!

i love all the change pictures effect, music.. everything!

  • Wonderful..............Thanks !

  • How lovely! How gently erotic! Very good!

    Thank you!

  • Lots of beautiful ladies. Many thanks for posting. I agree about the music - something sweet from the 20's would match better. But I just turn the volume way down when background music doesn't agree with me.

  • A lovely video. Thanks for posting.

    Best wishes

    Metry Road

  • Wonderful video. The music works for me just fine. Thank you for sharing this.

  • Thank you for your nice effort, Max. But I have to agree with some of the comments concerning the choice of music. You should have picked out something romantic by Stravinsky or Rickard Strauss. It would have matched the 1920s style better.

  • I wish i was pretty and had a better looking body. These girls have flat stomachs and nice shaped breasts. No breast implants! These girls are above average, and they look way better than a lot of the women living now!!!

  • Wonderful montage of a lost master. Please keep it posted!!!

  • What's the name of that song?

    And who composed it?

    Could somebody please tell me?

  • Pachelbel's Canon,

  • I only learnt about Ziegfeld a few years ago.I was born mid fifthties in the u.k. and though I knew the twenties had some life in certain cities around the world, I always believed the the thirties were meant too be dull and non sexual,or non glamorous, women like Louise Brooks and absolute stunners like Dorothy Flood changed my mind. Adrienne Ames and Ann Pennington also. They must off had interesting lives. 1960's and 1970's was not everything.

    M Cullen. Stunning

  • The morphing is excellent, but I question the appropriateness of using the Pachebel Canon as background music: a popular ballad from the 20s--something by Paul Whiteman, perhaps--would have been far better, in my opinion.

  • Excellent production!

  • Good god they are beautiful! Well presented too.

  • How do you do the transformations? I would love to do that to a family album.

  • This is beautiful! These women are very pretty and so well presented. Thank you for sharing. pat

  • I do apologise to you GrouchoBarks. I just posted a message thinking that this beautiful video was another work by ziegfeldgrrl [Jane] & have just realised my mistake. Your work is so similar to hers that i am sure you can understand. I cannot delete my previous comment so i have spammed it. Anyway a wonderful video & sorry.

  • Wow! What can i say Jane! When i sent you my second message of the day praising your other work set to Pachelbel's Canon in D, i had no idea you had also compiled another, which if anything, is even better. Absolutely wonderful! Are there any more?.

  • This is just so amazing & beautiful, thank-you for posting it and for all of your work putting it together!

  • Muy bello trabajo.

    Gracias

  • was that olive thomas at 1:22? i thought i also saw marilyn miller, mae murray, billie burke, marion davies, paulette goddard, and barbara stanwyck in there too...

  • WONDROUS....FABULOUS....BREATHTAKING

    iow, great vid

  • Five Stars for a beautiful video... Ladies...You are remembered and admired..!

  • Dust to dust . . . .

  • Outstanding in every way...what a collection of beautiful girls and fantastic photographs...thank you very much!

  • What a beautiful film!

  • excellent video. very lovely ladies.

  • Wonderful!

Amazing morphing,I like so much your video!

    Tanks.

  • Absolutely beautiful video. Max you really outdid yourself. A great introduction to the Ziegfield girls, great photos and impecable morphing. Thank you so much for this special treat.

  • You're absolutely correct, had the image in my ACJ folder and never noticed it while creating the video. So be it.

  • Is that Louise Brooks at 1:43? Didn't know she was a ziegfeld girl.

  • How perfectly lovely!

  • Just impressive!!! I totally second the comment above. Johnson's photographs artistically are of the highest possible standard, moreover presented in the most sophisticated way. Pachelbel's Canon is a perfect musical bakground.
