Okay, it's been a full year and here's the deal... the Miss America pageant is not judged solely on the talent competition. No disrespect intended to this sweet girl, but this is the most ludicrous example of "talent" the show has ever presented. Yodeling with your mouth closed is not a talent. Anybody can do it. Just try, you'll see. Ellen did a parody of this act on her show shortly after this girl appeared. It was hilarious. Even Letterman invited this girl on his show, but as a joke.

Seriously, you ALL must check out Patricia Brant's ventriloquism act from the 1987 pageant (where Kaye Lanie Rafko becomes miss A 1988).....type in above Miss Louisiana talent and it also might say 1988 but check her out back then, talent had to take at least one minute longer, if not more, AND Patricia sings, her voice, PLUS two dummies  its a gem!

IMO, there are two historic moments in the history of MA talent competition. Heather Whitestone's 1995 overwhelming performance and right this one. How this girl didn't win is beyond my understanding.

One of the best ventriloquist talents was Ms America runner-up in the 87 pageant, when Kaye Lani Rae Rafko won as Ms America '88. Patricia Brandt, Ms Louisiana, yodeled close to a minute in total and was far and away better than this one; but of course, they're both fun to watch!

I have never seen any ventriloquist act any where near her caliber! That is truly phenomenal. The only *hint* was being able to see her throat move slightly , but NOT AT ALL her face. That would be a fun ability to have....really neet to use that with children in hospitals, nursing homes, etc, but she is the best in the world, and could also entertain anywhere. I was just thinking it would be more rewarding on a small scale.

This is the most hilarious thing I have ever seen in my life on live TV. That girl has balls to get up on national television and do THAT! She deserved to win for chutzpah. I spit out my drink when she pulled out the two ugly dummies, but when the yodeling started I fell off my chair. I smell a Kathy Griffin routine in the making!

I'd really like to see this gal give a serious interview about what in the world made her think she should appear on Miss America as a yodeling ventriloquist!
