@Joecbg100 I did Wiki him, I also looked at his bio on some more reliable sources like DC Comics web site and Kids WB and no other source besides this show has ever called him anything other than Arthur Curry, that is his one and only real name. There's even a version of him that hates the surface world and lead an army to attack the surface but still only has the name Arthur Curry.

Arthur Curry was his orig.name from 1941-1992 but because of his SOFT image (riding a seahorse calling Aqualad TADPOLE,etc.) DC and writer Peter David wanted to toughen him up so they cut off his hand and gave him a new more regal name Orin (a lot like his MARVEL counter part NAMOR) Most Aquaman fans hate Orin and Prefer Artie but I am not one of them

@Joecbg100 I too have WIKI AQUAMAN and they do refer to him as Orin as well as Arthur Curry. Arthur Curry was his orig.name from 41-92 DC and writer Peter David wanted to change his image for it had gone down so far with the SUPERFRIENDS and seahorse riding that he was the butt of jokes. A lot of AQUAMAN purest can't except the change name and so ignore it. I am a die hard Aquaman fan who prefers it for it sounds more regal like Namor or Thor. Anyway hopes this helps King Orin forever

Yes everyone that is Justin Hartley Smallville's own Oliver Queen/Green Arrow. He was originally supposed to play Aquaman in the tv show that almost was in 2006, the same year Green Arrow was brought to Smallville. Originally they had some other guy working as Green Arrow, but something didn't work out with him and after Aquaman got canned, they figured let's get Justin an audition as Oliver Queen. And you know the rest, lol.

@OneTrueMadHatter First of all it's not a movie, lol. It was a TV show Pilot called "Aquaman" that Miles Miller and Alfred Gough made and shown to CW, but CW didn't air it in their Fall 2006 line up. This is the only episode that was made, but there were 13 episodes/scripts written.

this pilot was mentioned in a smallville episode. where aquaman released 7 dolphins. thats cool. the creators of smallville made this.. felt bad for justin hartley that it didn't work as aquaman so they gave him green arrow in smallville. he could have done both. but aqua man isn't as cool as superman

The sucess of Aqua (s5 smallville episode) is what inspired Al/Miles to start considering making an aquaman pilot. When asked why they didnt get Alan ritchson to have the reprise role, they said they were going to do a younger version of aquaman. The excuse was fucking BS, because Alan is way youngetr than justin hartley.

@kaxiwa CW decided to pick up One Tree Hill instead, I honestly think it was the right choice Justin makes a much better Green Arrow. There is still a possiblity that the CW will pick it up again with Alan Ritchson.

The producers didn't do anything. The series was greenlit but then the WB and UPN merged, and the resulting CW network didn't have room in its schedule, so the show died before filming even started.
