do you still have a recording of the set done for kiss fm giving it up in 1993?(i think),u seem to be making music now which mixes more of the different elements u had goin' on then...also did u ever catch coldcut's film soundtrack edits when they were playing on saturday night for 3-4 hours?,similar concepts...
Beautiful!!! I have soul... and damn, I want to hear the new material on my 5.1. This was great to see FSOL in the studio, in their creative paradigm. I've been a fan for over a decade and I can honestly say that was the first time I've seen a studio-session, live on video. Thanks for sharing!
looks amazing...but honestly guys your old ambient works as FSOL is far more better soul seek...hope that in the future u will return in your ambient experiments...(sorry not so good in English)...
Am not talking about materials they haven't yet relish...am talking about the amorphous androgynous project (except Tales of Ephidrina that is excellent)...
This music turn from ambient/electronica to prog rock 60's modern what ever psychedelia that they have decided to move don't fit to FSOL from 90's that I know and keep listening until now...
I think it's very good thing to experiment and if you listen closely you'll love Amorphous Androgynous sound. This project is just a path in their continous (re)search of the sound!
I think we have to stop dividing music into genres, Because mostly genres are being kept alive by just uninspired copying the elements that define the genre. thats how music and even subcultures become a cliche of itself.
I think music should be a reflection of your taste, skills and feelings of one particular moment. Isn't it just exiting to just blur the lines without setting the limits before even had started.
i completly agree but with humanity as it is i belev that genres exist in the first place and keep existing becaus artists dont know how to express them selfs in difrent ways (there uesing a template) but could this be classed as expermental? and is expermental a genra in its self? an i belev that sound is one of the strongest dimenshions
