Did anyone else notice all the allusions to Wizard of Oz in this? *Spoilers*
Everything from Death dying the same way as the wicked witch of the west (water), to the field of flowers before Vegas at the end which looks an awful lot like the Emerald city. There's even the midget that says "Follow the yellow brick road, homie." There's lots more references, but just thought I'd point out a carrying theme in the movie among many others.
Lance Mungia at his best. Former student of mine. Was really shocked to see his name in the credits and after putting 2&2 together (film locations being in Calif)... well; it's good to know that someone from this hell hole made it big.

its not red elvises. it's gogol bordello, and somewhere in the title it has the world purple,obviously. it's very known, i bet you can find it on youtube.
