This video is lovely to watch with the sound on it is really nice to see you remember your dog in this way, Dogs bring so much happiness to every one.
that's a great video. My parents are currently raising a paws pup. Her name is Bailey. She is also a black lab. Even though they haven't had her for long, she is quickly learning important commands like heeling, watching, and waiting for my dad to walk through the doorway first. It's incredible to think about how she will one day serve someone and take care of them like daisy did for you.
oinkydoodle, I am so moved by your tribute to "Daisy" & can empathize... Please know that this angel was sent to be with you & her spirit will always be with you. God bless you, dear, & "Daisy".
Thank you! Congrats on getting the field rep job. At least, if you went for the training I am assuming you got it. I wanted to apply for the Oklahoma vacancy but I can't drive. I was thinking as a former client I could really do a great job as a field rep since I happen to be involved in dog training... not professional, but almost. I'm jealous! What states will be in your jurisdiction, or do you know yet?
I am going to see how I do without one for a while, if I find I really need one I plan to train my own successor if I can find the right dog. I'd prefer to bypass the PWAC route if possible. I might as well so that there's less people on the waiting list at PWAC. The hard part will be finding the right dog on my own, because not only is it hard to find the right dog but I am inexperienced with temperament/awareness testing lots of dogs and knowing when one is up to par.
It'd be nice if PWAC would allow field reps to mentor people doing it on their own instead of only working with current clients, but I understand why they don't. It'd just be nice to have that back-up and advice and also just a second opinion on the quality of your own training, ya know? But then like I said, last time I checked OK didn't even have a new field rep yet. (They might now, it's been a while, but I am out of the PWAC circle now).
incredibly moving and beautiful tribute to your dog - forever in your heart.
