I used to think that GMO were just normal crops with extra protein until I started reading up on the process of making GM crops and how much change it causes in the plant genomes. If the GM crops were exhaustively tested for all known poisons, compounds, etc. then they'd probably have to take them all off the market. That's why they don't test them very well. Too bad for us dumb animals on the animal farm, eh?
