That was a great video. Thank you for posting it. It has been over 10 years since i watched a nascar race. The day Dale Earnhardt died was the last time i watch a race. Watching this video brings the hurt back to my heart like it did when Dale died. I knew nascar would never be the same without Dale"s famous Black car and his giant #3. When I heard the news that Adam petty died it was like having the air knocked out of you. Adam had so much potential to be like his grandfather. R.I.P to all the drivers we have lost. Ken Squier described NASCAR as "43 men doing uncommon things". How many of today's NA$CAR drivers still fit that description? Most of them started driving a kart at 4 or 5 because their rich daddy bought it for them. Most of them don't know what it means to work hard or struggle.

I just want to thank the person, who put this video and song up here, I am a big nascar fan really loved Dale,Neil, and Davey...Also the song let me come to peace with the death of a few of my friends (dirt track drivers) that passed away after they passed I quit racing, now looking to get back into it, with this said god bless every driver that's passed away!

the only reason nascar drivers havent come to F1 is because they dont no how to drive around proper corners
the last nascar-come-f1 driver was scott speed (what a bloody lame name...) and look at him...he span off on 60% of his races, the ones he did finish he never came higher than 17th (out of 22) and his team fired him before the race year was even half over.
how about jacques villeneuve? he came to nascar from f1 and was out of a ride after only a few races. at least the american open wheel drivers made it halfway through the season (franchitti) or are still driving (carpentier and hornish jr).
and, by the way, jeff gordon jumped in montoya's f1 car a few years ago at the indy road course and was only a second from making the field (oh wait, everyone makes the race in f1). at least nascar has enough cars to fill up the track.
if you think that each and every track on the nascar circuit doesn't pose its own challenges, you've clearly never watched a nascar race in your life.
i've watched f1 races before. they are basically all about strategy and are not about passing at all. if you get a good start, you run up front for the entire race. if you don't, you're screwed. f1 bores the hell out of me. i'll take 43 cars running close together over 22 cars that are all three seconds apart anyday.
they may be going in a circle, but at least if you go watch a race, you can see the whole track at once. if you think oval racing is boring... try watching the richmond race that's on right now.
and what about drag racing? they run for four seconds in a straight line and even that is more exciting than f1.
have you noticed how pretty much all f1 drivers that moved from f1 to nascar cant make it through a season? when jeff gordon jumped in montoyas car years ago he was just as fast as other f1 drivers. nascar is by far way better. oval track racing is were racing started

I cried again even though I've seen this vid before. I miss them all, even though I didn't get to see them all race. Adam had a great career ahead of him, perhaps better than his grandfather, The King. My parents where at the track when he died. This really is one of the best vids on youtube.

8 years ago today that we lost dale...i wasnt even a fan of nascar when he raced..lord i wish i was, i just came into the sport around 2004, but ive seen enough videos and know people that knew him, it feels like i knew him, its kinda strange, but it feels like i knew him really well,

My mother passed away Sept 12th 2007
She did not race Nascars, but she was a race car driver.
Stock cars as a matter of fact.
Her and my dad both raced from 1974 till 1983
And yes there is more to racing than just going around in circles.
She met and made many friends.
And many of those friends attended her funeral
And no offence to you
But I pray to God my Mother is Racing In Heaven.Bucause it was something she dearly loved to do in life

the only reason nascar drivers havent come to F1 is because they dont no how to drive around proper corners
the last nascar-come-f1 driver was scott speed (what a bloody lame name...) and look at him...he span off on 60% of his races, the ones he did finish he never came higher than 17th (out of 22) and his team fired him before the race year was even half over.

how about jacques villeneuve? he came to nascar from f1 and was out of a ride after only a few races. at least the american open wheel drivers made it halfway through the season (franchitti) or are still driving (carpentier and hornish jr).
and, by the way, jeff gordon jumped in montoya's f1 car a few years ago at the indy road course and was only a second from making the field (oh wait, everyone makes the race in f1). at least nascar has enough cars to fill up the track.

yeah, but the track is so short the laps take like 24 seconds...
in F1 atleast the tracks are varied from each other, so they each post their own difficulties, challanges and setups for the driver

if you think that each and every track on the nascar circuit doesn't pose its own challenges, you've clearly never watched a nascar race in your life.
i've watched f1 races before. they are basically all about strategy and are not about passing at all. if you get a good start, you run up front for the entire race. if you don't, you're screwed. f1 bores the hell out of me. i'll take 43 cars running close together over 22 cars that are all three seconds apart anyday.

they may be going in a circle, but at least if you go watch a race, you can see the whole track at once. if you think oval racing is boring... try watching the richmond race that's on right now.
and what about drag racing? they run for four seconds in a straight line and even that is more exciting than f1.

have you noticed how pretty much all f1 drivers that moved from f1 to nascar cant make it through a season? when jeff gordon jumped in montoyas car years ago he was just as fast as other f1 drivers. nascar is by far way better. oval track racing is were racing started

I cried again even though I've seen this vid before. I miss them all, even though I didn't get to see them all race. Adam had a great career ahead of him, perhaps better than his grandfather, The King. My parents where at the track when he died. This really is one of the best vids on youtube.
